I see you've been busy making tampers, some interesting designs.
Yep, been playing with spoon shapes (*none pictured are finished). I like the idea of a bent spoon on a tamper for messing with dottle/cake, and am trying to figure out the most comfortable and useful shape.
Today's selection for on the river.. Then off to find some CH & SWR. Hope they have it where I'm going today.
Looks like I have a little competition!

Such a great day weather wise in NJ. Couldn't ask for a better day. Gonna now do some flying on a lake from a boat for a few. This way i can relax, smoke, and have a drink or three.
Then i'll go back on the river this late afternoon for the sulphur hatch.. Should be a relaxing day!!!
BTW: Ruff where can i score SWR in NJ? When you were in NJ did you ever find any? Or did you just order from some place?
Got a bowl of Esoterica Stonehaven packed in a Charatan poker. Going for a hike with the pup.
Don't you have a JR Cigars in NJ? They have it.
I asked the girl the other week and she said they didn't have SWR or CH. Maybe this tobacco is a special order with JR? I'm gonna ask them again.. Thanks
I know all three JR Cigars in NC carry a good selection of OTC tobaccos in pouch and tub, so just assumed the JR's in NJ would, is it a large store with a walk in cigar humidor?
LOl ... I was fourteen , that was about 32 years ago , and I dont remember seeing any in town back then . Any tobacco that was made in King of Prussia , PA .... we had it .The Shop Rite food store had tobacco and there was a place going out toward Budd Lake . There was another place in and around Blairstown . They were all Mom and Pop places . I'd imagine you could check out the Gas stations , food stores ... if ya havent already .
St Bruno in a Blakemar rusticated Hungarian.
1776 vermont maple in a scandia pipe.
BTW , I went to Atanta yesterday [ disgusting place ] and stopped by a B&M and bagged a tin of Ashton Gold Rush Tobacco ... ready to light out of the tin ! The " lemon ' or what I call " bright " flavor in the blend was fantastic and balanced . It built up through the bowl to a nice Virginia blend that finished w/ a med body . For a Va , I liked it alot . The Aroma was kinda like LTF but w/ the bright aroma in there ... I know this cause afterward my wife was smoking it . For a first bowl ... impressed !
Ruff, if you like a sharp, sweet, citrus note "bright leaf" virginia smoke you may want to try McClelland Eastern Carolina Ribbon, a lemon virginia from the east belt region.
Side note: I do not recommend this to the inexperienced virginia smoker.
Yeah , I was wondering about that the other day when you posted that you were smoking it .... How sharp we talkin ... like straight Va thats in the fancy Va only cigarettes ? I dont know if youve ever smoked one of those type cigarettes . I gots an idea .. lets trade alittle
Yardwork finished, so Kajun Kake in a homer billiard with a big glass o' ice water whilst contemplating beverages with a bit more of a malt component.

Just finished a bowl of Tordenskjold Virginia Slices that I set down before leaving for church. Now I'm puffing (barely) on Solani Silver. Pleasant afternoon so far.
