Just popped open a sealed tub of 1971 velvet and smoking it in a MM Dip. Also open tubs of Granger, SWR and CH. Should be good for the next 6-12 months of my OTC fix now. Think this tub of velvet is smoother and better than the first one I smoked. That one had a broken seal and had to rehydrate it a bit before smoking. Who knows how many years it had been drying out. The tub of Granger was one of the older 14oz so a few years old? Supprized me with the bulging top it had. Got a good whiff of it outgassing the pressure when it was opened. Looks to me even a burly like granger can age in its tub.

Since I finished the AoTM in the MM Diplomat I'm oing to enjoy some Latakia Flake in a vintage Meerschaum. Large Pusser's Rum Mug of Twining's English Breakfast on the side.

That whole album is good - not sure there's a bad song on it. I really like "Dont Crash the Ambulance".

Pirate Kake in the Rekamepip red rock. The Lat in this comes out better in rock than in briar.

Waiting for dinner, so I'm starting a bowl of Full Virginia Flake in a much cherished smooth straight grain three quarter bend 1979 Becker M 4 heart brandy. I'll finish it after I eat. Bucs beat the Mets, and the Giants reamed the Braves again. Vin and the Dodgers are on the XM later.

Thanks and like I said earlier. It has to be the smallest Calabash ever, only smokes about 15-20 minutes but man that Latakia Flake never tasted that good in any other pipe thus far! [IMG] To think I nabbed that 20 years or so ago for $15. in a leather fitted case. The Ivory is engraved with the initials H.M. wonder if this was Herman Melville's Moby Dick? [IMG]
