I am smoking Ashton's Artisan's Blend in my new Pete. First few bowls of it seemed uninspiring. Now I am really enjoying it a lot and will keep it in my rotation. Seems to me to be what I expect in an English blend, in my opinion anyway.

Back on the Bull's Eye, the only tobacco I've discovered so far that gets better with every smoke

Right now I am having a 50/50 mix of Irish Flake and 1792.
I would like to call this the "HB Mix" if it isn't named yet.

I'd call it breakfast. That sounds like a hell of a wake me up.

I have been hankering for a mortal pipe. Lucky! And yes, some of us still hanker. In my case, hankering only results in more opportunities to hanker even more.

When I could find it, Jack Knife plug seemed like breakfast. Reminded me of the soles of the old "boondockers" we were issued at boot camp in the Navy. Hard as hell to stay lit, but had a kick like no there. Gave new meaning to the phrase "stumbled into work".

I got my last pair of boondocker's in 1970 after getting back from Vietnam and they are still going strong 43 years later, I'll be damned if I will try to smoke the soles off them though! ;)

    I like that!
Such a versatile and fitting name.

On another note, I'm having a glass of milk with my smoke and it now tastes like a French Vanilla Latte. There may be something more to this mix.

Good before breakfast too. A little Heaving & Barfing helps to clear the stomach, leaving it fresh and clean for nutrients to follow.

    Vauen No. 14 in a Lovat ...

    See! Another use for "HB"
Hurl Buckets could be another one if you're not careful.
