AJ's VaPer in a cob.
Cornell & Diehl #143 Whiskey Cavendish
( i must say those guys were some of the nicest folks i met at the chicago land pipe show)
Irish Flake in an old Kaywoodie 5142. No stinger.
BCF in Petey Green
I neither steal catnip from a cat nor candy from a baby. At least I've never been convicted of either!
Mom used to have about 50 sq ft of it at her house but she has thinned it out since no kitties any more, It does not grow well in my crappy soil, but I plant some every year.
SG Full Va Flake in a Stanwell Specialty Straight Grain Canadian. Truly an epic smoke tonight!
What a pipe !
I'm having a killer pipe day ... Rock Cob of SWR and the MM CG with Lane Blackberry ... it's pretty damn neat stuff ! I smoked Carter Hall in the new Medico I got . I smoked a Meer lined apple with MB Latakia but haven't finished it .... but am fixin to in a few minutes if I don't pass out
Back to the rock. This time it's Carter Hall in the black rock cob. Tried to find some petrified CH, since it would be fitting, but Doug said he didn't have any left from the old days. Something about giving the last of it to a mastodon...
Lunch break at work.
1776 from DeusExMachina in a used, abused, over-reamed, no shine left Kaywoodie Golf Signet from the 60's.
Smooooke it like ya stole it !
I've been smoking some perfectly dry with a tinge of moist, slightly aged AJ's VaPer and listening to Band of Horses. It was absolutely perfect. Reminded me of why I smoke a pipe. Those perfect moments you can't recreate if you try. I've not hardly smoked a bowl a day these past two weeks, and that just amplified it.
Smoking Boones Delight in a Church Warden I got at smokingpipes.com.
Thanks to Spillproof, I'm smoking Escudo in a 1998 smooth three quarter bend Peterson Limerick 69. This pipe took time to break in when I first got it, but once seasoned, has always smoked well. Ice water chilled to the proper temperature, baseball talk on the XM, and more work to do. Braves lost, though they had several chances, Dodgers beat the Nats and Vin sounded great, Red Sox and Orioles lost, and the Yankees won. And the Pirates beat the Brewers in extra innings on a walk off homer by Andrew McCutchen!
Thanks to pipe2relax, I am smoking an aromatic custom blend from a shop in Austin called 'Sweet Tooth' in a 1955ish US Falcon 1. Think I might have chosen the wrong bowl (wide and shallow) for a damp aromatic. Having a hard time keeping it lit?
Gotta luv those old Kaywoodies, stinger or no stinger.
Still working on BCF in Petey Green, hey, I've been busy .. and ice tea, inna mug!
Finished work for the day. Time to relax with Angler's Dream in a 1978 smooth pointy bottom three quarter bend Sir Brent, shaped like a check mark. This basket pipe for which I paid $14 handles burleys and aros very well. Drinking ice water, reading box scores and listening to the news.
Time to dip into that magic bottomless tin of 3 noggins again and catch up on the news before the rigors of the day begin.
