Happy birthday, brother!
Right here, right now... I'm in it in north Ft Worth
As my pawpaw used to say when he was makin these, "Good smooth bourbon is important but; really, it's all in the sugar water." I was just a kid then, but he and my dad would sneak me sips when the ladies weren't lookin. Deep east Texas, piney woods, smell of creosote, roads made out of packed dirt/sand/oil which give you "tar pills" when it's over 100 degrees F. I like Ft Worth... but love Tyler/Lufkin area. Those smells in fall, watching the evening sky turn azure as the day clings with false hope; meanwhile, we're sparking up the pit with the Red Oak that fell during the last storm... an all nighter 'Que which will produce "cut-it-with-a-fork brisket" and on the side we got mudbugs on the boil for midnight snackin. While we patiently wait; meemaw brings out fried catfish, fried okra, mashed taters, and jalapeno corn pones fried with bacon grease. Good times. Doing my best to give my 5 kids some good memories... even if their pawpaw and peepaw (my grandad and dad) passed last year.
Come to think of... I need to go hunt some hog this weekend for a whole hog smoke
Starting to wonder where this library is, its gotta be a short drive from here, hmmmmm
But I would never do that to someone, so you both are safe

MB vanilla creme flake in a banded, forever stemmed MM country gent. I decided after trying that captain black light yesterday, that captain black light is not for me. Kinda bitey...
I bet it ain't Albertsons!
Get some Jacks while you are at it.
Time for some GH Cherry Vanilla in the Medico Apple. Still on lemonade.
I've been saving this pipe until I could decide what I want to smoke in it, and I've made up my mind. Old Dark Fired in a 1984 black sandblasted straight Dunhill Shell 4103 Billiard. Ice tea for a drink. The Pirates are leading the Brewers 3-1 in the 6th. I'm going back to work.
Right you are sir! It ain't. It's Wise County Liquor or Liq-O-Rama (LOL.. for real) off Meacham & I-35W. Grow the mint myself.
But someday, when I grow up; I'll get me one of those real sterling silver julep cups from the KY Derby/Churchill Downs.
I saw that cup. Too rich for my blood. Was gonna ask you, is it dewberry time or is that in the fall?
MB 7Seas in my briar wood pipe
Mickey;s malt on the side
Is that Mickey's in the wide-mouth green glass? Used to chug those, making me want some more, too.
Westminster in a falcon.
Mostly in cans, nowadays.
Still good, I bet.
