PA in a mod cob, with Maxwell house. Wife went to WallyWorld and I've got the house to myself. So this is what "quiet" sounds like.

Out of the office early this Friday. Need to be in the apartment when the part-time handyman comes to try to fix my plumbing. So working from home after lunch.

No doubt a bowl of something before I pick up the kids.

Edit: Takng the teenage son to see Iron Man III on Sunday. I think I'm more excited than he is. And he's pretty enthused!

Got these bowls in the mail yesterday. Trying one out now with some Classic Burley Kake.
The only thing that works for a stem that I have found is a coffee stir stick. So far so good.
These will be perfect to carry around for a quick smoke. Just have to keep my pipe bag full of coffee stir sticks for stems.

Second smoke report for the Chubby Morta AEROBilliard. Smoking Kajun Kake and I have to tell you there were no Morta residuals this smoke just pure unadulterated Kajun Kake which hit me like a sack of potatoes in the last 1/3. Smoke pure, clean and cool w/o the heat on the bowl I felt yesterday smoking Night Cap in 34 MPH winds, pure ash to the bottom and no moisture. The one thing I noticed immediately is this pipe appears to want to make a cake far quicker than my other Morta pipes so I will need to keep my eye on it. I plan on a marathon smoking session using 6 y/o Anniversary Kake in each Morta so I can differentiate between them the nuances of the smoke but right now I know in my heart this pipe is going to be a go to pipe anytime I want a pure, clean smoke especially trying any new non aromatic tobacco.

The size of the stir stick is perfect if you could find some reeds that small.:th1:

You sure you don't mean cinnamon?

Suzy and Molly were very docile this morning, but ate their fair share of whitefish and chicken. I need my fair share of smoking, so I'm starting the day with the current Three Nuns tinned version in a 2003 smooth medium bent straight grain Ardor Venere Extra signed by Dorelio Rovera. A cup of hot tea for a drink, and listening to the baseball talk on the XM. Not up to hearing "real" news just yet.

G'Day all, PA in a cob. Lots of hot tea lined up to drink. Big excitement downtown, this morning. I'm about 3 blocks walk from there. Sirens going off all over the place starting about 7:30. Went outside and spotted choppers in the air. Thought they might be searching for somebody till I went around the end of the block to get to the bus stop. Ton's of black smoke was seen coming from the roof of the old buildings off the town square. All over, fires out and nobody got hurt. You know the kind of buildings that surround an old town sq, connected together and built around 1900.
