That will give you something to do when the rain gets to your house
My inaugural Florida smoke is:
Bulwark in a shillelagh with
a meerschaum bowl. Yes, it's
a special occasion smoke.
Good night all from the east coast!
Just started up a cob of McClelland Red Cake. I really like how long of a smoke this tobacco gives me regardless of the size of the pipe.
Its also good for the occasional "inhale into lungs" technique
Watching MLB network until the Nationals-Giants game begins.
LNF in a Pete system 306
What a fine evening!
Louisiana Flake in a Radice bent billiard.
Changed my mind to LNF, still in the POY. I havn't smoked LNF in a while and I think it has gotten a couple of months of undisturbed age on it. Or maybe I have become more refined....either way, it tasted really really good. Started on the back patio, then the rain hit so I moved to my truck in the carport. Really good lightening show going on out there.
Edited to add that as soon as I posted, the high winds hit. signing off and hunkering down.
Careful out there.
It's pouring and thundering here, so I'm on the porch with some old Escudo(thanks FnB!) in a cob. Drinking a little Stolichnaya Blue label on ice.
The ducklings, daisy and I are waiting this one out in the basement. No big deal yet. however, smoking is not allowed down here. So, I'm not. We haven't even had any of MDaws79's high winds yet.
Stay safe, brother. Jack Wagon isn't on the road in this crap ,is he?
Probably home by now, I'd think. I'll check.
Edit: Hmmm......no answer...
Brother-in-law lives in Midwest City, about 6 miles from Moore, OK. Works at OU (bless his heart). He rode the tornado out at the university research center he works at; he called around 3:30pm and told us he's okay but was heading home to see if his house was still there.
We're expecting heavy weather here in Ft Worth later. Meanwhile, I'm going out to smoke something in something and drink something. Really don't care.
Hope his house still stands. You stay safe too.
Irish Flake in a no-name dublin.
Ah hell ... kids and people died in Oklahoma and Ray Manzarek passed away ... what a crappy day of bad news .
< sigh >
More Velvet in a Grabow Grand Duke
Interweb tubes keep going on and off in the building today. Test.
Edit: Alright. All caught up. And the connection seems to be functioning. For now. This happens every week or so.
About to start a pipe. Prolly Sherlock's. Fell asleep after work, so I may be up all night.
Just talked to Jack Wagon. He's alright.
Finally got through to my brother in law and he said the twister went by within 3 miles of his house. He escaped with some broken limbs and 3 broken windows. Way too close!
