Happy you got your dad closer to you, it will be a lot easier for you now hopefully
instead of 100 mile daily drive i am looking at a 90 mile drive
but dad is now much closer from where mom lives - so that is good !
now after cold left over pizza and a hand rolled cigarette
with 20 minutes before kids storm the house after school
i am going to sit back and enjoy a Royal Blunder
in my new OLD Antique Pamplin clay pipe with a 10" river reed stem
Glad things are looking up a little for you and them
Black & Elegant Truffle.
Royal blunder - is much better than when i got it last fall
has nice honey and spice flavor
clay pipe perfection
Edit: oh yeah that is the pipe with honey and spice
special cleaning method is paying off
I've been alternating cobs on and off all day with AoTM and............ a little drum roll maestro, no, wait a little rum droll restro um, hum, uh Anyhoo...........in the Kamado Joe.... today I did up a chicken, with dark, and strong, black coffee in the can, chicken over the top, breast side infused with garlic butter, outside a rub then 2 1/1 hrs slow cooked with garlic mashed potatoes and fresh sweet corn. Sorry no photos it would only cause a mob to show up.
We were like animals......
This Savinelli unfinished Dublin is my first "big name" briar, and I gotta say it's such a lightweight, great smoker! I've almost finished the first half bowl of well aged Pirate Kake, and it's very smooth, mellow, and certainly full of Latakia flavor. So smokey, the tin note reminds me of an olfactory sense of heavily smoked aged cheeses and or meats.
Just finished my second bowl of FMOTT in a half bent bulldog. Think I'm coming down with something so maybe I'll take a day or two off smoking, which is irritating as an order of tobacco from 4 Noggins just showed up in my mailbox....
Next time try smoking the Savinelli with Pirate Cake
right After eating an Apple
sliced with smokey sharp chedder cheese slices on the top
trust me if you like cheese and apples you owe it to yourself
Rum Flake on the bottom, Pirate Kake on the top.
Trying to figure out what to smoke in my latest acquisition the pipe to be known as The Philadelphia Lawyer ..... look only if you must in the HATERS Latest Purchase Forum
You're totally right if I was going to age it for a very long time. This is only one oz. Left, and its still too damp, so I'm opening occasionally to allow it to slowly dry out. Not really aging it.
If i mix equal portions of 30 year old tobacco along with the same kind of tobacco that is New
do i get 15 year old flavor
NO, you get a hodge podge of flavoring dependent on how the mix ratio that ends up in your pipe is in subsequent packing of the same pipe, change pipes and everything changes once again.
The 30 year old realizes the ramifications of mixing with too young of a crowd, and hides itself in the shadows until it can escape in a cloud of smoke
You are most welcome, this is why I did the Morta Anni Kake Challenge with 6 y/o Anni Kake coming from the same jar and stored in the same pouch, it would have been useless to do otherwise and if you read the palate and snork notes from each of the pipes they differed quite a bit.
Is this what Michiganders call the Cougar Effect?
I was thinking more of a predator list for the 30 year old, not so many cougars in the smaller towns, at least none you would want to me in the dark, let alone with the lights on
