So, Kake....made out of actual Pirates?
It just may be. Surprised how mellowed the Latakia was, as well. I know Latakia is supposed to really mellow with a little age. What does the new Pirate Kake taste like? This stuff has no bite at all.
No bite and mellow and smooth. Not complex really, but to me, I can taste the burley as well.
Good morning, McClelland #27 in a DrG Royal Duke.
I just placed my quarterly tobacco order at SP and completely forgot the PK and more KK. Dammit.
We can probably find some PK kicking around somewhere.
LNF in my Sav 510EX
PK and KK both bo at P&C yesterday
It gives me an excuse to place another order. I'm just waiting to see how much skin SWMBO peels off me when this order arrives.
The morning pipe has been decided. Anni Kake in my big ol' Viprati. It will probably last the rest of the morning.
Wow, so the bowl smoked for nearly an hour with two relights and stayed pretty cool the whole time. I really enjoyed it but don't think this'll be a daily smoke. Have you guys noticed a slight mentholated flavour underneath?
When I say the flavour isn't nuts, I just mean I didn't find it totally overwhelming like I thought I would. Although my wife could smell it in the bag across the room. I think this is the first tobacco I've smoked with not a touch of sweetness. I wouldn't call it harsh either, I found it pretty smooth.
But man, there is a lot of smoke. Now I picture pirate ships enveloped in clouds of thick, yellowish pipe smoke.
I prefer Konig Pilsener (German) over Pilsner Urquell and even Golden Pheasant (Czech) to Pilsner Urquell. The problem I have w. Pilsner Urquell is that often times it is skunky. I brew my own beer here at home and I attribute that skunky-ness to the fact that Pilsner Urquell uses GREEN bottles instead of brown. Brown bottles block UV better than green ones & they decrease the likelihood of skunking during the bottling / conditioning / shipping process. Golden Pheasant is my absolute favorite. You'll pay a pretty penny for a 6-pack, maybe $14 but SOOO worth it if u want to experience an outstanding pilsner. Fall & winter is Ales. Spring & summer is pilsner
Man of taste, lol, thanks~~~ I like the pot shape because I can fit more flake in & it kinda forces you to pack the tobacco tightly. It's good~~~ I don't generally do European tobaccos, but I make exception for PS Luxury Navy Flake, Bullseye Medallions, & H&H Dark Fired. I usually smoke cigar blends with it though, G. L. Pease Key Largo. Smokes VERY good in that pipe~
1/2 bowl of AJ's in the Irving Cobb cob while putting away the neighbors and our recycling bins and trash cans.
Went for an evening stroll with Benjamin Hartwell.
PA in the POY Kaywoodie with Maxwell House. Pretty productive morning. Got 3 Generals started and should finish them tomorrow, glue has to set. AND remembered to put my phone on the charger plus take the garbage cans down for pick-up! I feel......accomplished!
Yes to the menthol/mint flavour/flavor. It pops up in different blends, most notably for me in GL Pease Lagonda. It has to be the oriental (or turkish, whatever)/latakia interplay.
It's good stuff.
Single White Male Borderline Obese?
It's evening in Alabama already?!
