I dried my batch of Granger using the lesser known Ephraim Process: placing it on a glass baking dish in a 170(F) degree oven for 10 minutes and then allowing to cool before jarring.
Much better now :) Think I got rid of most of the PG.

Did the same with my batch of Velvet, which I'm now smoking in a MM Cob. :puffy:

Very pleasant early morning here. The rain has ceased and its nice and cool. Looks like I'll be up to watch the sunrise.

Partial bowl of AoTM in a barrel shaped MM cob I got in a batch of stuff that had no stem so I gave it one, still breaking in as it did not see much use. Coffee #3 on the way, more Frankenstein walking and listening to this freaking rain, I feel like a mushroom, one more day and I change into jungle greens and begin recon..............

I tried LNF years ago, fully rubbed out, from a pipe club member here in Tucson. It was good, but not memorable.

This time I lamp-dried a single flake, and then used the old F. Scott technique for loading (Fold and Stuff with Crumbs On The Top). The burn was beautiful and the tobacco just kept getting more and more flavorful. I prefer this fresh LNF to my aged (2000) Escudo. Heresy, yes. But there you have it.

MB Roll Cake in a Sav 316 EX ... also delicious, but much more temperamental.

The sky is beginning to brighten faintly, and so its time for a final smoke before I sleep: Sir Walter Raleigh Aromatic gets the nod on this misty dawn.
(that's as poetic as I get )

Good to hear ... I'll look forward to that, because the fresh is already an excellent smoke. So far this is one of the best value VaPers I've found. I spent an hour with it on the patio yesterday evening, just smoking. It held my interest the entire time.

Still puffing on Roll Cake in the 316 ...

That's a great question. I don't have an answer though. I will ask him and see what he says. Oh, and it's very, very aromatic.

A little warm salt-water and some rest would probably do you a world of good. My dentist tells me that gum tissue is some of the fastest healing tissue in the body.

Still doing Roll Cake in the 316 ... for the next two hours at least.

Another Falcon day, this time with CH. Looking forward to the long weekend and longer smokes. Going to try either Plumcake or Red Cake in the new POY.
