As a young fellow in the 'sixties' I could not afford pipes from Astleys of Jermyn Street, but one time - I managed it, and it still smokes the best!:)

Sounds like a lot of trouble. Just sprits the coffee a bit and load your pipe. I see no problem. :shead:

    Todays bowl No 3: I don't know.
This is worst thing about pipesmoking, I had a great dinner (homemade Pasta Bolognese, 4 hours cooking time AWESOME) and I want to smoke a pipe now, but can't decide on the tobacco and the pipe. There are just too many options, lol. Should I open another tin, I got 22 closed tins I've never tried before... on the other hand, it would be more reasonable to finish a few of my 33 open tobaccos first. Aaaaarrrrrgh...
Ok, specific tins remain closed like Xmas Cheer and my 3 H&H's as well as Haddos Delight and Fillmore - they definitely need more aging. Now I limited the number of tins that come into question to 12 ... Oh, there's HU's EGR, almost forgot that one. Ok, now I know - I guess red wine would be a nice accompanying drink - and the pipe...the pipe....HA!
Sevket Gezer Meerschaum. ooops - wrong thread. sorry.
and sorry for the weird think aloud.

Almost finished with this bowl of Brigadier Black Waterloo (thanks Rekamepip) in a slightly rusticated 1980 Rossi 1886 Visconte 245 OomPaul. And thinking about what my next smoke is going to be. Need to decide in a couple of minutes.

Pirates have a one run lead against the Brewers, Red Sox are losing to the Indians, and Vin and the Dodgers are on the XM.

Afternoon PSF - Ive had my folks visiting the last week or so and haven't had much time for pipes - today though a much anticipated bowl as I catch up on some work ahead of next week. I wanted something nice and simple - the answer was MacBarens Vanilla Cream loosecut in the Tinksy 1 star, sunrise finished Xmas 2012 pipe. A well deserved screwdriver on the side. Happy smoking folks

I decided on smoking Old Dark Fired in a 1970s GBD Prehistoric Rhodesian 9438 with a perspex stem. Really good stuff. Simply Lemonade is my drink.
