Okay - a little update. I am usually "one type in one pipe" kinda guy, but although I am a dedicated CH smoker, this PA and MM Washington is really starting to be my go-to for the evening. Wood is burning, dogs have been fed, and now another round waiting for the chop to sizzle.

Cards beat the Royals. Grillin' in the rain, a success. 1/2 of our company has left. caught up on the thread again. Now I'm smoking Dunhill Royal Yacht (with a nod to Furious) in my DGE Briar Nosewarmer. Good evening everyone!

Looks like I may be able to catch a ride east later this week in a water bomber. Puffing away at some Escudo in the Peterson Dracula 03, while checking the maps and wondering if the lake just north of the intersection of Helena road and 95 is big enough to drop the scoop in to for a quarter fill. Nah, it's too short, and I haven't watered a lawn in far too long to be any good at it. 19C(66F)H35%

I posted a short reply. It's a good article and while I don't quite agree with a couple of his comments, it's a good guide to pleasant smoking. I always give a pipe a day or more of rest, but I agree it's not always necessary. It depends on what you smoke and the quality of the pipe. I have a few pipes that need time to rest and many others that do not. I also prefer to dedicate a pipe to a blend until I'm out of that blend.

A long time friend is in town visiting so I gave him a spare MM Legend and we both had some Frog Morton Cellar in MM Legends after eating burgers from the grill. Good times.

You convinced me! I just filled a glass with Simply Lemonade!

The Braves should check Tim Hudson's arm. He's not been pitching well. Jays are leading 9-3 in the 8th. Mets leading the Yakees 2-1 in the 8th. Angels ahead of the Dodgers 6-2 in the fifth. Fifth... hhmmmmm.

Cubs lost to the White Sox 7-0. Reds beat the Indians 4-2, though the Indians are mad that Chapman buzzed Nick Swisher with a fastball. Like you didn't know that already, ya big yahoo!!! :xd:

I though we won today? Big. Didn't we shut out the Sox? (Don't know why I said Reds?)

Maybe my iPad really IS haywire!

Edit: Well, at least Chicago won. And that's what really counts.

I may not share your latakia tastes, YAPPG, but I fully agree with you on the Golden Extra. One of the greatest burley blends out there IMHO.

And it's sometimes difficult to believe that GE, with its high-quality and excellent packaging, is roughly the same price as PA when you buy it at normal discount prices. In fact it's a lot cheaper than PA, purchased in bulk.

Finishing off some OGS in a DH ...
