Smoking KK in a cob now. Boss lady's best friend is here, so we're drinking mimosa's and getting ready to go to the local Mexican place again. I think I'll drink another one of those Johnny Dingo beers and eat some
Chips and salsa. Still raining, so I don't think I'll be getting much accomplished today other than drinking and smoking. Sounds like a good time to me.

over in the Mother-land a Mimosa's one of them plants you touch and it all shuts/curls up
    [IMG]
but I've looked your's up :- one part Champagne (or other sparkling wine) and one part thoroughly chilled citrus fruit juice, usually orange juice
sounds like a refreshing summer drink I'm sure Mrs Wicker will like it [IMG]
over here Black Velvet was Champagne and Guinness but it's more usually Cider and Guinness at Wicker Villas

I like cider and Guinness too. Give the mimosa's a shot. I'm sure she'll love them :th1: They're great if you drink them before lunch. :byg:

Just gave some Bull Run a run for its money in the MM Diplomat and if you folks like this tobacco you'll definitely like Reverie from Georgetown Tobacco, thanks to the Hatemeister (rekamepip) for the sample sent with the Black Rock Cob. :buds:

Earlier it was PW Nut Brown Burley in a Comoy's Golden Saddlebit Billiard with black coffee. Now it's SG Golden Glow from 2009 i a Davorin Morta Billiard with more black coffee. I love this bend witha little age to it. Sweet and tangy. Almost like a butter cookie.

    Happy Smoking,
    Paul

Opened a can of 7-Up and lit up a bowl of Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 1982 black sandblasted paneled slight bend Savinelli flat bottom sitter. I must say that of all the pipe tobaccos I've ever smoked, I think this blend may have the most noticeable aroma when I open up a tub to codger fill a bowl. I love the smell. Told the missus they ought to make a candle scent of it, but she just ignored me. I guess she remembers I said the same thing about Dark Bird's Eye, which she claims smells like creosote. Ah well, at least she likes the smell of EGR tobacco.

It is a frustrating blend for sure. I gravity feed it and I use a pipe with a real open draw. Some here like to dry it out so it stays lit though. I do not dry it out becaue I feel it loss some of it's charm. I also use a smaller bowl with it which seems to help. JMHO.

finishing up a bowl of Scottish Cake in the Country Gentleman. I'm finding that as much as I love this blend, it's actually way better if smoked as is, without further rubbing it out.

I'll give that a shot Paul - it's a great blend and worth the trouble. I agree that drying too much takes something away from it.

Decided to smoke some Rum flake after all. We just got back from our weekly Mexican adventure. Mission successful. Drank a couple of humongous Modelo Especial's and laughed at the girls drinking margaritas. Relaxing for a bit and getting ready to go out with some friends for dinner and more drinks.

Started out with Kentucky Planter in the maplewood tank, now it's Trout Stream in the GBD Tanzania not-really-a-panel billiard meer. Wicker Man sent some of his darn Yorkshire cold weather back overseas to Tennessee today.
