Braves are beating the Mets 8-2, Nats are beating the Pirates 3-1, and the Marlins have scored 9 runs against the Phillies, which means miracles do happen! I'm drinking a Sprite and smoking the current Three Nuns tinned version in a black 1980 sandblasted Peterson Premiere 01 medium bend apple. A very simple, rather ordinary looking pipe, but it's a really good smoker.

So far today it's been Carter Hall, Boswell burley, and now finishing off a bowl of Bull Run.

    Joe,
I generally go to Saco unless it's something like Audiology or a specialist which is usually no more than 3 x a year. I always have appointments going at Saco and locally at home. When I go to Togus I drive to Wells which is the furthest south the DAV Van comes and they pick me up at 0530 to get there around 0830. I have another 2 appointments there next month if you want to meet I'll let you know where that is and we can drink some of their coffee and have a pipe in the smoking room. Thanks for your service.

Just fired up a bowl of Germains Medium Flake in my MM CG. The Cardinals are wailing on the brewers. Good times.

Jumping ahead out of sequence to the Davorin Denovic since I wish to end Cinco de Morta with the Becker. I'm choosing Halav u'Dvash and grabbing another liter of Orange Dry.

Germain 1820 in a Savinelli Estella 515EX, my too-big-to-clench English burner.

Rain is coming and going for the next 36 hours or so, still unseasonably chilly. 53˚F (12˚C), 77% RH, west winds at 15 mph. Not bad. :puffy:

I just got back from camping with some good friends and there was a new to me Falcon and a Paronelli waiting on the front porch :bdance: Now I am loading up some Peterson's Irish flake in the Paronelli. This pipe is beautiful and I will try to get some pics this afternoon.

the count from camping as best as I can remember was
    Carter Hall x2
    Dunhill Royalty x2
    Escuado x1
    LTF x1
    Drahm Reserve x1
    SG Chocolate Flake x1
    Frog Morton OTB x1
    Borkom Riff original x1
And a Cohiba Siglow II (for the cigar smokers out there)

One of the really nice parts of the weekend was catching up with a friend that I have known for 20+ years. We talked about the smell of pipe tobacco and his grandfather always smoked a pipe. He has all of his granddad's pipes and wants some pointers on blends and info on pipes in general. I am looking forward to helping him clean up what he has and get to share some good tobacco.

I am 26 pages back but catching up quickly. I hope everyone had a great weekend!

I'd be up for an early morning sidewalk coffee and pipe next weekend, s'posed to be dry then.

Too hot for lawn mowing, darn, so cool of the living room enjoying some bourbon and a bowl of Escudo in the Sav "Porto Cervo" 614.

After the morning SWR smoke, I decided to stay with burleys for the day. So, Carter Hall in a Sav Trist and Carter Hall in a BC Cherrywood. Coffee more the most part and then an ice cold Pepsi. Getting ready for a lasagna dinner with salad and garlic bread. I'm enjoying the last of the Shiraz from last night.

McClelland #2035 in a Caminetto. I think the McClelland's vinegar treatment goes as well with this blend as any.

In the cool of a growing evening on my back porch, I am enjoying "Legacy," a sample given out by Pipesandcigars.com at the Chicago Pipe Show, May 4, 2013. The brand name will be "The Smoker Ltd.," you can go to the website for more information about the different blends they will be releasing. "Legacy" is "a full, rich Latakia blend with the addition of hard to find Yenidje which helps to make this a fragrant, tasty blend. Perique adds some additional depth and three different and distinct Virginias add complexity and sweetness. Legacy takes you back to the days of bold yet smooth tobaccos that filled the air with rich, genuine tobacco aromas," as they describe it. Oh, yes, I'm smoking it in my Charatan's Make Special bent egg, while enjoying a pint of Cocoa Stout by the Round Barn, Baroda, Michigan.

Heading outside to loaf with the Jost Regent packed with FMC and a cold bottle of Yuengling Lager. My wife's parental units are out for dinner...baked bone in chicken thighs, green bean casserole and chocolate cake and ice cream for dessert. Life is good.

Well at 5:55 I loaded the Becker with Night Cap to be the final Morta of Cinco de Morta and a fitting end to a fine day. Still sipping on Orange Dry and will light it up shortly.
