Good morning all. (Anyway it's still morning out here in the wilds of Oregon.) I started some beans and a ham hock in the slow cooker about 6:00. I will decide later if I want to make some bread but will more than likely take the easy way out and just buy a loaf of sourdough. I have to make a store run anyway, I'm down to my last half can of Copenhagen.

Well, the lawn is free of leaves. At least for an hour or so, until the wind kicks up again. Time for some Virginia Woods.

What a coincidence ... I have beans and ham fat simmering on my stove, with plans to add homemade BBQ sauce and cut up hot dogs to it. I'm thinking of doing cornbread with mine.

The Beverwyck in the H&B Cobb again ... it was just that smooth and enjoyable this morning, I had to do it again.

Dorchester in my old reliable 1980's smooth Peterson Kildare 999 Rhodesian and ice tea. One of my cats thinks the tea is hers, the little sneak! :) Well, at least she doesn't try to smoke any of my pipes.

Mulching leaves with my mower and i am done in a half hour - gives me time to sit in my garage and smoke a pipe

Maybe the wind will blow remaining leaves back to the neighbors house

I'll sit and watch him rake from now till Christmas and Put out 100 lawn waste bags every week till then

That is Crazy ! Especially when he turns around and buys mulch to put around his trees when he is done

PW, It never even crossed my mind to toss a hot dog or two in there. The interwebs to the rescue once again, thanks!
Mc. 5100 in a MM cob. I have the last of the morning coffee on the left and a Bloomberg approved 16oz cherry coke on the right. Let the games begin.

St. James Flake (also known as the best VaPer known to man) in a Northern Briars banker. Reading Flannery O'Connor as the sunlight slowly fades away here in the forest.

Storm front is blowing in tonight, supposed to come a hard rain tomorrow with frosty temps behind it. Bring it on!
