Which version of Three Nuns? And how does it smoke in a cob? I've only smoked it in briars and meers.

Btw, I just lit up Onyx in a black pebble finish straight 2003 Cavicchi C. Fatto A Mano nose warmer, and am waiting for the coffee.

Butternut Burley in the newest tall MM General, which I let soak for an hour with Canadian Mist whiskey last weekend, then let it dry out for 3 or 4 days. I'll need to run a harsher tobacco through it to see if it really does have a sweeter flavor to it.

GH Louisiana Flake again. In the new Tinsky again. LOVE this pipe a lot. I might have found "my shape". Guinness on the side.

I cant wait to get better . I had one bowl of H&H today . It's better than a blank but I'm having mental withdrawals at the lack of pipe smoking I've been able to accomplish this week .

    Evening, lady and gents.

I'm having some Irish Flake in one of my beater briars, a Savinelli Oscar cutty that I got for $11 on eBay. It looks like someone regularly reamed it with a jackknife, but it smokes the hell out of these dark flakes I love so much. I hate to go here, but I think these kind of flakes just smoke better in a briar pipe. There, I said it.

Thank goodness dgerwin doesn't read this thread.

I already said this in your other thread, but it's worth repeating. That is one gorgeous pipe. Well done.

Thanks. I'm seriously considering getting him to make me a couple more. Fits perfectly between my teeth with not pressure for clenching and it's super light, yet it's also comfortable in the hand. And even on the second ever smoke, it's dry and delicious so far. The man knows how to make 'em.

It was in his Sandblasts section. When I purchased it, he couldn't find the blasted pipe anywhere, so he made me another one which turned out flawless, so he offered me the smooth. I took it. Now I'm probably gonna get him to do me another one in blast. Maybe a couple more. The size of bowl, hand feel and clench feel of the pipe are about as perfect as I've had for an everyday smoker (I tend to go for a 45-60 minute smoke max). My Sas, for example, is a good one for 60-90, depending on how I fill it, but that's a weekend luxury. I could see myself rotating a few of these and not smoking any other pipe! (Now, maybe this is "new pipe enthusiasm" talking, but I really haven't had this feeling about any other in my collection).

Big bowl of HV in my Linkman.
After watching the news this evening it just makes sense to smoke the good stuff while there's still time to smoke it!
