I know man, I shouldn't have said anything. Tilbury is horrible, folks, don't buy it. You wouldn't want anything that foul on your palate, no sir.

Had a bowl of 2011 Holiday Spirit in the chocolate egg earlier while talking to sis and mom on phone. Now revisiting SG Chocolate Flake that we tried back in September and just didn't care for (too wet, no chocolate) but one now quite dry flake in my no-name leaves-and-berries mini-meer I use for tasting has me slightly re-evaluating this blend. Still no real chocolate taste ... this is no Boswell Chocolate Cream (or even Altadis Chocolate Mousse) but if you light (and relight) it thinking it's just plain tobacco then it isn't so bad.

1792 Flake in a Charatan's Belvedere Billiard. This batch is from 2009 and age does nice things to it. A little more refined. Still powerful though. It has a little cocoa hint to it.

Just finishing Three Friars in a 1974 smooth straight French briar Hadley Apple. My final smoke for the night/morning is Amphora Red in a 1998 smooth straight Butz-Choquin Bistro 1501 pot. Does anyone besides me own a Hadley or know about them? I never hear any talk about them. I picked mine up new at the 1974 price of a $1.99. I haven't smoked this pipe in many years.

    Good Monday morning all!
SWR in a Royal Danish acorn and hot coffee on the side for the ride in to work this morning. This pipe is a great clencher which makes it a good driving pipe. Only working two days this week and looking forwad to the holiday weekend and the food and drink!

I finally received my order and smoked macedonian for the first time over the weekend. I really like it. Maxim is a master with Latakia! York, Balkan & Macadonian are terrific blends! All 3 have gone to the top of my Lat rotation!

I can't go very long without a little of the sauce. Now that I've been smoking so much of it over the past few months, I can taste it there to some measure in every GH blend I've tried. It's an addicting flavor, and somehow other brands are missing that little something extra I look for now. What really flips my skirt is smoking other blends I love, like Bayou Morning, in a Lake Sauce ghosted pipe. Nice surprise!
