well, when I last checked in, we had popped open one tin (Virginia Woods) from the new order ... then all restraint went to the wind as we each pulled out our MM Pony cobs! After the VW, I opened McClelland Orient 996 ... a rather exotic intro to oriental-forward blends. Then hubby mention the Frog Morton Cellar, so that was new tin #3. While sipping on that, I selected and opened tin #4 to check for potential dry-time: Sam Gawith Kendall Cream Flake. Pretty dry for an SG blend, which meant about 20-30 minutes air time, so hubby opened his last selection, the MacBaren Burley London Blend. Hubby just went to bed, while I am finishing up the Kendall Cream, and he thanked me for the "pipe-stravaganza" this evening.
Navy Cavendish is one of my personal favorites. It ages fantastic too!
I'm smoking a. Very special blend, McClelland's Millenium 2000 which was tinned in '95 in a Dunhill Tanshell GrP 5 Bulldog. Sweet, tangy and rich full flavored. Beautiful smoke!
