Thuber hasn't responded to private messages lately or answered the phone when I called a few days ago. He started scaling back his appearances here around early Sept., and I've wondered what's going on, too. I also wish we knew what happened to Old Codger, who being an older man, may have suffered some health problem. Maybe it's not fair to publicly speculate on fellow PSFers, but it does leave one feeling concerned.
there it is guys... the circle of life... one minute youre a pet the next... a decoration... oh and squadron leader in my savinelli classica 614
Now all I need is help getting this pipe lit... Looks like it will be the best bowl of the day if only I could get help lighting it Just don't have the thumbs for the lighter...

Brownsword (bulk blend from The Briar Patch in Canton, OH) in my refurb'd GDB Sauvage.
End me day with a wee bowl of baccy residue from tins past... I have a jar that I keep baccy in when the tin gets too low fer a bowl and don't want to toss out. Keeps a little dry but refreshed it and it was amazing. Mix includes Cpt Black, Buttered Rum, New Haven and a couple I can't remember.
Three Friars in a GBD pot
Likewise, Stormy. It's fun to keep track of your whereabouts in PSFland, and see what you're smoking as well!
Aye Rekampip, I see ye found the drawing of the 1st Annual Clay Pipe Smokers Pipe Club Meeting Circa 1750.
Same to you, but more of it! Thanks rek!
Thanks Stick! My first PSF trade buddy.
The wind is cold tonight, about 3C with -4C windchill. I've got the down coat and windbreaker ski pants going. Not many layers underneath yet, but in another month, we'll need the full winter gear for the balcony smokes. I've got the wind cap on the Altinok Bent Apple Spigot with Pelican. It's better tonight than the previous couple of smokes, but it still isn't knocking my socks off (which is good, because my feet would freeze).
Aye Inky, Escudo is a Great Starter. Easy to master the "flake" with this one.
I've got a little bit of swra going in my calabash meer on this cold Texas night.
I have to be careful with this pipe. It's the one with the cracked tenon and I'm trying to keep it alive as long as I can.
Aye Brad, Congratulations on Passing the DR!!. I see yer car has the same taste in pipes as ye do
Congrats on 3000 Lucky Duck!
