Good afternoon, everyone. I left work early today. When I got home, I found Daisy and the littlest duckling had stayed home. After a light lunch, I did a little yard work. Now I'm in the garage, where I always end up. I'm almost finished smoking this PS LTF in my MM CG w/Forever Stem. Cool water, from my "True Value Hardware" cold cup is my drink. Puff on!

Met pops at Holts Cigar on Walnut St in Center City Philadelphia today. I'm smoking La Gloria Cubana Serie R robusto and he's smoking a Davidoff.

Time for a short, sweet smoke: St. George's Blend in a straight 1979 MM Legend. I'm thinking about having a cigar, though. It seems like the perfect day for it.

Pembroke in a La Fuma billiard. Tasty. I think I've been looking for a blend that this pipe excels with and I think I've found it.

Just in from a bowl of FMOTT in the Torben Dansk with some coffee.

Really windy here in Toronto. Julie, Thomas and I just dropped off my mother at the airport, she's heading back to Nova Scotia. So, once again we're a four person family. Afterwards I picked up a toque and a scarf and I'm now officially ready for whatever the Canadian winter has to throw at me.

    Looking good! :thu2:

Dinner's done - I'm about to light up a new-for-me blend, a sample I got yesterday at our meeting - Orlik Dark Kentucky in a Tinsky. Just read the review about said blend by our most illustrious JimInks - makes my mouth water! He said it's not as good as the original, not too bad for me since I don't know the original formula, so I couldn't compare it anyway. Thanks for the review Jim!

Actually, it was Heinrich's Dark Strong that I referred to as not being quite as good as the Orlik's DK. And even then, there's not that much difference between them. I've two pounds of that in my cellar. I've two 12 year old tins of the Orlik's, which is one of the finest tobaccos I've ever smoked. If you had that - and it looks like you did - you're luckier than a Lucky Duck (pun intended to our pal LD)!! :toast: Glad you liked it. Wish I could buy more.

hm, interesting. Actually the one I was given is a houseblend by Schneiderwind, famous German B&M, but I was told it's the exact same tobacco. They get it from Orlik and just repack it.
