Melorning, everyone! I'm posting from 15 pages back. Don't worry about me though, I'll catch up. I've started the day with Mac Baren Navy Flake in my DGE Brier Nose-warmer. The usual lbm of black coffee accompanies me. Happy Sunday PSFers! Puff on!

Well the sun is out and we've only received 3" of snow. Amazing that they pay weathermen to be wrong. Thanks Stormy!

More DFU in the egg. Good morning.

Congratulations! I can't believe it took you 19 years to hit 150,000 miles! You walk too much.

    Good morning :)

A very cold morning here, and windy as well.
Starting up my first cob of the day with some MCB, to be followed by Mac Baren BLB :puffy:

Ok. Here's a newbie question. What material is the rim of the bowl made of? (the white part)

In my truck on a cold morning. 4degrees with windchill. I am in my truck where it is a toasty 16 degrees and the windows are frosted; fortunately, i am enjoying some PSLNF in my dry Oscar whilst listening to some dead.

The white part is the bowl of the pipe and it's made from block meerschaum, you can take it off, so that you can clean the inside of the gourd calabash and the bowl itself. Looks like this:

Woke up this morning to find winter had arrived. I can't recall such an early snowfall since I moved to Toronto. (though it's common out east)

Just in from Charing Cross in the Eltang Sailor. Perfect size for a cold morning, I may open up a thread later asking about mini pipes. These are useful in colder climes!

Still working on the book cover. My deadline actually got shorter by a day! But I'm enjoying it and it's going well and it payed well so I really can't complain.

Hope you all have a great sunday!

Here I am enjoying the "sailor" pipe.

Finished night with MB Plumcake and Middleton Walnut. Tomorrow will be a bitterly cold day.

I agree. I don't know who the illustrator was, or even the book(s) for that matter. What I remember is my Mom reading to us, and being able to lose myself in the illustrations. They were done in a very similar style, very detailed with a lot of depth and layers. For instance, in Inky's "Happy Hedgehog"; the first layer is the making of tea, the second is the enamel cup, the third is the pipe clasped in the hand, the fourth is the ax leaning on the far side of the tree. I don't know anything about art. I only know when I like it. I really like it when an illustrator tells the story better than the author. I get the distinct impression that Inky does this.

Time to try and turn myself into a hermit crab again by smoking some Haddo's Delight in the bent Adsorba.

The final stretch for my exam work! Just today and tomorrow to prepare then the oral on Tuesday. So I'm on campus in my car smoking Dunbar in the granito mystery pipe enjoying myself before I head into my office.

Inspired by Eric last night, I'm listening to some grateful dead. :hp2:
