    Some GLP Charing Cross in the Eltang Sailor.

    Work is going well but slow today, no deadline looming like it was yesterday. Today it's an illustration for a fantasy anthology, a sort of supernatural western story.

    Drizzling, gloomy but mild here on the Lake.

    I just stopped in the B&M next door to my place of work and grabbed a pouch of Carter Hall and Middleton Cherry; my first otc purchase. Having a Falcon dublin of Carter Hall in the car before my next appointment.

    It is the perfect pipe weather currently, in my opinion, slightly cold and a light rain.

    The rain has turned to freezing rain over the past hour, temp of 32.
    Very light glaze of ice on the trees. Looks pretty cool I think :)

    Smoking IRC Old Colonial again (in a MM cob) :puffy: A pleasant smoke for this early Winter afternoon.

    I snuck outside and had some 965 in a GBD Bulldog.

    My wife asked me to put up some Christmas lights with her so I loaded up the Brigham billiard with C & D Autumn Evening (Julie's favourite smelling tobacco) and we braved the drizzle to put up some lights.

    Smoking some Villiger 1888 Late Night in a straight MM Pride ...

    The price of this tobacco seems to be going up. My original tin was only $6 ... an excellent value.

    Late Night is easy to describe: it's basically a stronger version of Mac Baren Virginia No. 1 with a fresh aroma like hair tonic. That might not appeal to some of you. But being an occasional Lakeland smoker, I like it. Though the aroma is more lightly applied here than in Lakeland tobaccos. If this were make in the UK, Late Night would probably be called a honeydew Virginia. Good stuff.

    Smoking my first ever bowl of Samuel G Best Brown Flake in a wee little GBD Century Restlite pot. A nice combination for a short pre nap smoke, quite cool and very mild, just what I like in Va's.

    Smoking McClelland Va 35 Ribbon in a MM General now. Chili on the menu. Will be revisiting Mac Baren Acadian Perique this evening in one of my Pete system pipes. Coffee after dinner switching to ice tea w/ lemon for my drink.

    Afternoon, fellas. So much for my lazy day lounging around in the country w/ the dogs. The wife and kids will be here shortly, so i've gotta start getting something done in enough time to get a little sweat on the brow by the time they arrive. ;)

    But first and foremost, a bowl of smoked burley in the rock cob! Why do now what i can do later? :D
