The movie was pretty good, but I liked the first Thor movie better. Almost done smoking MacBaren Dark Twist in a medium bend straight grain 2000 Winslow C silver spigot. Stormy's still raining on our parade.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes.

I think it's going to be a good day. The wife just woke me up with coffee at 0930. God I love that woman, she always gets that balance between a good sleep in and getting the hell out of bed before you sleep the day away.

I finished that Rockcob full of Christmas Blend 2013 last night as well. That was 4 bowls in a day, that's got to be a personal best ;)

Congrats Cpt Beefheart, that's great news my friend!

Brown Virginia seems to hit that happy medium. Less sharp and citrus tasting than the yellow, with a little extra body as well. Vauen Virginia Flake No. 14 is another good one ... a surprising amount of body that even borders on burley fullness at times.

Up next, BBF in the Savinelli Toscana 122 ... cheers!

Now smoking Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer. Ice water chilled to the proper temperature with well trained floaty li'l icebergs is my drink. And I smiled when I said that, pilgrims.

We left a cold and rainy Alabama at zero dark thirty only to arrive in a cold and rainy Texas nine hours later. Not complaining cause I actually like this kind of weather. Great trip all around! Enjoying a couple of coins of PS LBF in a Tinsky Mocha Tomato. Happy Birthday Sillyoldbear and congrats to Capt Beefheart!!

Off the grid for an hour...
all power was out in our town - no cell phone service either

nice quiet time on couch with the Mrs

with thoughts of zombies and mass chaos we start planning last minute strategies
like open fire roasting of turkey bird and and early morning squirrel hunting

    all is better now

Mrsrekamepip has started baking pies for the big upcoming dinner

    and

I am loading up a bowl of AoTM Blend in the rock cob while sharpening the knives and bayonets

Relaxing and/or recovering from a wonderful shrimp dinner with cinnamon apple pie and ice cream for dessert. And you folks thought Suzy and Molly did all the eating here!!

Going to work before long, and am currently smoking Old Dark Fired Ready Rubbed in a 1984 black sandblasted straight Dunhill Shell 4103 Billiard. More ice water to drink. I could save on my water bill by just sticking a glass outside the window, but it wouldn't be chilled to the proper temperature.
