    Very tired last night, so only smoked one pipe. That was Middleton Cherry in a Peterson briar. That was it for the night??!!! What ailed me?

    Hello again! Bowl No. 2 is the highly predictable PS LTF in my MM Egg. Just wrapping up th P. R. walkabout. Finishing the last of the complimentary coffee. Now, back to the warehouse, where work will begin in earnest. Puff on PSFers!

    Who are you to whom truth is so dangerous? What is truth? Something immediately seen as truth. (It may appear only once; it may not be repeatable.) We make truth. Nobody else makes it. There is no truth we don't make. Punch a hole in the Big Lie. Punch a hole for me. Punch a hole for "magic casements opening on the foam of perilous seas in faery lands forlorn" (Keats).

    Good morning all!

    Starting things off with some FMOTT in a Pete bent bulldog and French press coffee, smoking outside on this pleasantly mild autumn day.

    Smoking Rekamepip's Pressed October Blend in a 2013 slight bend grain etched briar Rekamepip Volcano with a walnut shank. Fed Suzy and Molly who don't understand why I'm awake and not playing with them, too. But, they're off to another part of the house, probably because I'm too boring for them early in the day.

    I sawed my way through that bowl of MB Latakia Blend in a Bjarne with grim, workmanlike resolve. For some reason the LB wasn't delivering. 'Dry and dull' would be the truest description.

    So I reloaded the same pipe with Stokkebye Luxury Twist Flake ... MUCH better.

    Good luck with NaNoWriMo! I follow along with a bunch of authors on Twitter who take part, really exciting to watch from the side lines.

    Irish Oak in the GBD poker with a bent stem. This is the last of the psquared sample and have to add this to this list because it's grown on me. It might be just what I need this morning in place of the Escudo or PS LNF I normally like to start my day with (after my pipe of CH once I've dropped off my daughter).

    Turning and turning in the widening gyre
    The falcon cannot hear the falconer;
    Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold;
    Mere anarchy is loosed upon the world,
    The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere
    The ceremony of innocence is drowned;
    The best lack all conviction, while the worst
    Are full of passionate intensity.
    Surely some revelation is at hand;
    Surely the Second Coming is at hand.
    The Second Coming! Hardly are those words out
    When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi
    Troubles my sight: somewhere in sands of the desert
    A shape with lion body and the head of a man,
    A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun,
    Is moving its slow thighs, while all about it
    Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds.
    The darkness drops again; but now I know
    That twenty centuries of stony sleep
    Were vexed to nightmare by a rocking cradle,
    And what rough beast, its hour come round at last,
    Irish Oak in the GBD poker with a bent stem.

    Sitting on the porch smoking Dunhill Nightcap in the Sasieni panelled billiard and chatting with neighbours in the next two townhouses. Next door our neighbour from India has just completed his pilot licence and is planning on teaching at flight school to log hours to get into commercial flying. Interesting to hear how that industry works. It's not as straightforward as I thought.

    I'm enjoying the Nightcap. I find it a really pleasant smoke but not an overwhelming flavour. I feel like I should only smoke Nightcap for a while to a handle on it. The second bowl had more flavour than the first so I'm assuming you discover more as you smoke it.

    Opened a jar of 50% McC 5100 and 50% McC 2015 that I had blended about a month ago. Smoking it in a Kaywoodie bent apple with a push stem. This is one nice morning smoke, the sweetness of the Va is set off nicely by a hint of spice from the Perique, but is not overwhelmed. This could be an all day smoke on a nice warm day.
