Just loaded the Spill-dog with Macbaren navy flake.
Just stuffed some PS LNF into the black bull, my mysterious Granito Vera Radica. No info can be found about that pipe online whatsoever.
I'm going to get a little more work done and then I'll resume the fly tying I started last night. I hadn't tied any flies in quite a while but I'm anticipating going out to catch some steelhead right after Thanksgiving so I need to get loaded up on the stuff they liked last year. But like me, their tastes may have changed since then.
is it ok to smoke this indoors ?
Rhubarb, Rhubarb x1000 job done http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhubarb_Rhubarb
Having some St James Woods in the MM Diplomat with plum Forever Stem standing in my driveway!
What happens when you ring the bell??
Or maybe this...
Actually, I think it's Teddy who rings the bell and then Wicker Man comes running with a fresh pipe and a cup of tea.
How you liking the Great outdoors??
Evening All! Finally a cool night here on the Florida panhandle! Going down to 42 tonight.
Sitting out back having Capstan Yellow in a Brebbia billiard.
Wife is gone and I am smoking lat bombs in the house.
First up...Pirate Kake in my Sav 506 Extra ebony straight.
(Lat) Party time...excellent!
She will just think I had the fireplace going all weekend. heh
Wow! You're a pipemaker, tobacco blender, and now a taxidermist?
Walking on the WILD SIDE eh Ming.. Will there be drinks later??
The E30 is easily in my top 5 of vintage cars. My wife had an '87 325ic when I met her. I still miss that car. They still look good today. There are a few restored examples here in town and whenever I see them I swoon.
McClelland #5120 in a Pete 312. Later a bowl of Smarty's Special Blend in my other Pete 312. Good excuse to give both the cleaning and tune up they deserve tomorrow evening after the work week is over while I sully a couple more. College basketball season getting ready to fire up soon which means pipe maintenance season here while listening on the CC Crane 2 properly amplified. By tournament time the whole collection will be polished and buffed to a high shine again.
Tomorrow morning I go to get my left kidney blasted. I had the right one blasted back in September because I was in pain from it but the left side has larger stones that were just not moving at the time. There are 3 stones in excess of 1.5 centimeters which are waaay to large to do anything except obstruct flow. Sooo, here I go again. Supposedly it will take a few days after the blasting for them to start breaking up. Then the fun will begin.
In the mean time I am smoking like a fiend. Earlier today I had McClelland Navy Cavendish from 2000 in a Castello Great Line Quarter Bent Dublin with black coffee. Then it was Nut Brown Burley in a Comoy's Golden Saddlebit Billiard from the late '50's. Now I'm smokin' McClelland's Boston 1776 from '10 in a Castello 4K Slightly Bent Prince with ice tea on the side. Imported li'l floaty icebergs from the Inks Ice Works Co are keeping it chilled to that perfect drinking temperature. One double Bloody Mary was the tip for that damned dog! He drinks like a fish!
Yes, forgot to add...beer now and then scotch (or bourbon) or both.
*Straight up of course.
Good luck Paul. I had two; 10 years apart and I would not wish stones on my worst enemy. 2nd one was stuck and had to be blasted.
