Tonight's smoking is evidently sponsored by HU Tobacco, 'cause now I've got Dockworker going in the Squatch Prince and I'm already thinking about making Nashville County my next smoke.

Oh wow, sorry to hear about that! Haven't been there myself, but been with my dad as he went through it and know he was glad when it was all said and done that at least there is treatment.

Catching up after a very busy couple of days with our annual conference at work. I've gone for a cigar again tonight, which is a Don Carlos Presidente from Honduras. I remember these being a bit harsh when I first bought them, but 10 years of humidor time has made this cigar smooth and tasty. Very enjoyable smoke tonight!

Got skunked tonight. Only seen a squirrel. Wind started gusting which is never a good thing in my experience.

Sending good wishes to Flatbush Paul.

And smoking some more Sunday picnic in my dry Oscar.

My high school friend Max dropped by tonight and we had an awesome time drinking beers and talking. He wanted to learn how to smoke a pipe, I forgot how hard it is to keep it lit when you first start! He wanted an aromatic so I gave him Erinmore Flake because it doesn't burn too hot and it's pretty easy to smoke, while I had C&D Star of the East for a contrast. Sent him home with some samples and told him to buy a corncob. I should really just buy him one...

Here he is trying out the Erinmore in the Sasieni billiard proving a pipe makes you 18% cooler:

I'm half way through smoking Tilbury in a 2002 smooth Rinaldo Silver Line 3 EGER 05 paneled horn. And working.

Irish Oak in the Shambull after a disastrous attempt at smoking an Est. 1844 that had no draw and tasted like a burning dog.

Here's my corner of paradise, but it'd be a lot better if could smoke while I sat there. I'll be heading out into the cold with that Rock Cob and some of the Special Latakia Flake that's hiding on the top left shelf. I did get to sit down to tie those flies sticking to the white foam strip above the pipes. They're little red caddis pupa with a clear plastic tube rib so they're a shiny. I'd never tied them before but they sure do look good enough to eat!
