Still no chastising from my wife. I'm in the clear!

I'm out on the balcony with my Ben Wade and some 965. I smoked that new Savinelli de luxe Milano earlier and loved it! What an excellent pipe! I'll clean up the Calabresi tonight so I can hopefully have a smoke from it in the late-night hours.

The wind is a bit chilly tonight. Thankfully, Golden Extra in the MM Patriot is keeping me warm!

I don't reach for Latakia very often, but when I do, only one satisfies me.

Ten Russians in an Armellini Cutty.

    Evening, fellows.

Hamburger night here in the Orchard household (every friday) , also my mom's birthday. Smoking Star of the East in the Pete bulldog (I think I need more pipes!) with Mill Street organic lager to drink.

Stopped by the Briary, local B&M, today and picked up a couple of samples... Maple Cavendish and a House Special Blend.... And, the Maple wins the first smoke!:byg:

More Carter Hall in the Piazzolla lovat. What a pipe this is. As mentioned elsewhere, this pipe has a couple of fairly large putty fills but I can not fault it otherwise. Other than the fills the grain is great, it is lightweight, the stem fits my teeth perfectly and it smokes really really well. All for around $20. You can't beat that with a stick!

I recently recieved samples of bayou morning and dorchester. Since Slow Tri ranked bayou morning higher in his VaPer showdown, I decided to give it a whirl first. Currently smoking it in my devils anse with a cold Molson. So far so good.

IU about to tip of against Chicago State. Time to rock! Listening clearly on the CC Crane 2 radio from deep behind enemy lines in blue UK territory. Big Ten Network ain't got a dime from this cowboy yet despite their best efforts to put a stranglehold on the product. PA in a cob after work but I'm going back into Lat mode with FMC in a Pete 307 to kick off a three day weekend. Shifting from coffee to ice tea with lemon for my drink.

I've had a jar of Sutliff's Maple Street sitting on my shelf all summer and autumn. I couldn't quite get into it, even though I could tell it was a quality blend. But the newly-arrived cold weather set the right tone somehow, and Maple Street is all I've been smoking this month! It's just so dang cozy on a chilly evening.

Waiting for the apple crisp to cool off and enjoying another bowl of G H Star of the East. I kind of love the soapiness. Pairing it with one of those Australian Shirazes that taste like they have the same alcohol content as scotch.
