Happy Birthday Fordy!
Temperature is 46-degrees, so it did not get as cold as predicted for last night. Have completed my morning reading, had my tea and juice and the morning pipes. Started off with EMP in the Peterson Sherlock Holmes, then moved on to John Bull in a large meers. That blend really does nothing for me.
Decided it was time for Edgeworth Ready Rubbed Match in a 1979 straight smooth Dr. Grabow Grand Duke 45 pot. A cup of hot tea to drink, too.
Yes , Happy Birthday !!!!
Another bowl of SWR in the Cob
Good to see you back again, BigCasino! I haven't made it back to Allegheny Smokeworks since I saw you there but I'm planning on a visit soon. My wife has to go to work at 11:30 this morn or I'd be trying to make the Pittsburgh Pipe Club meeting.
Instead, I'm out on the balcony getting some work done with the Savinelli de luxe Milano 803KS brimming full of rubbed out Stokkebye Luxury Navy Flake until it's time for me to take over.
Happy birthday Fordy and all the best to WalkinStick and his bride.
Best wishes to WalkinStick and his bride on their big day!
Happy Birthday fordy! I'm smoking some of your favorite tobacco in your favorite type of pipe to you.
St Bruno RR in a Falcon.
Happy Birthday Fordy, hope the wedding day goes smoothly for the soon to be Mr. and Mrs. WalkinStick, and continued prayers to FlatbushPaul for an easy recovery. I had a bowl of Whatchagot Blend in the original MM Diplomat since I'm still shell shocked to continue with the Tambolaka in the MM Diplomat with plum Forever Stem, might try it again today at some point when I'm awake. Couple of PRM's under my belt but nowhere near enough to be awake. Good morning PSFer's....
What tobacco (if any) does Edward G. Robinson compare to? Oh, a couple coffin nails and some PA/CH in my BM Poker. That's Basil Meadows for you uninitiated folk.
For all of those who are disappointed that you weren't invited to Walking Stick's marriage, here's exclusive footage of the ceremony so that you can join in the festivities:
Happy wedding day to you, Shemp Walking Stick.
I dunno. I can't think of anything quite like it. There's a few plum/fruity notes, and light essence of red wine topping along with the Virginia, black cavendish, and small amount of latakia.
Having one of those sneak out and have a smoke while wife thinks I'm doing something productive smokes. This timeit is my first bowl of Balkan sobranie (germain) (thx Justin)in my sav duca Carlo. Early impressions it is full, but good.
Congrats Stick to you and the future Mrs. Snake on your big day and Happy Birthday to Fordy across the pond. Y'all have a fine fine PSF day![/quote]
Ooops!. Sorry bout that Stick! I meant the future Mrs. Stick not Snake. It twas a wee bit early when I posted that.
Stick, I'll be waiting for the chopper parade to ride through Pensacola this afternoon.
So the Christmas Cheer is not bad! Medium complexity Virginia, goes well with coffee.
Anyone else smoking it? Can't decide if I like it better by just shoving in the broken flake, or rubbed out. Both nice.
Finally admitted I need a couple of additional pipes to smoke. I'm not trying to compete with JimInks, but I really do not have enough. With winter almost here, the cobs are really not going to do it for me. Ordered two Dr. Grabows: a Grand Duke and an Omega. Pipes and Cigars disappointed me a couple of weeks ago when I ordered a pipe as part of their promotion with John Bull tobacco and could not ship the pipe. I'm giving them another chance. Also went to Republic of Tea and stocked up on Irish Breakfast tea for the winter.
Now got to get off-line before I spend any more money!
Teddi is getting impatient, so before I start smoking CH in my Dr. Grabow Savoy, I had better get dressed and take her out for our morning play time.
Mellow Virginia in the MM Diplomat
Alright.... Morning errands have been completed now it's time to get down to bitness. I did pick up a case of Quart and 1/2 pint ball jars for my cellar. Too many opened blends finds me running out of jars. Going to smoke a nice bowl of Fr. Dempsey in a Meadow's Devil Anse before the grass cutting. Congrats again Stick on you and the miss's big day. Hope I didn't send y'all some bad JuJu with my goof earlier. Sending you positive vibes from my two fingers at this very moment. You should get it in time before the wedding.
Happy Birthday Fordy and congrats to Stick and the future Mrs. Stick. Starting the day with my McC breakfast blend in an Edwards flame grain Canadian along with a large Tim Horton red mug of strong black coffee.
Waiting on lunch and smoking Rum and Maple in a 1981 Mauro Armellini Corteccia 05 Oom Paul. My friend who's bringing lunch loves the smell of this tobacco. The taste is very good, too.
