Until I can get more into the practice, I'm sticking with the old-fashioned Prince Albert. I like it, smooth, but not overwhelming.

Starting the day with black maple in a no name bulldog and then on to some Krumble Kake in a Sasieni Sunrise. Hot black coffee on the side. Wonderful sunny day out here in the desert. Have a nice day gents.

Old Gowrie in a cob. Nice day here, sunny and in the mid 60's. this time of year is when I start getting really restless to get out of Alabama, especially when I start seeing my northern friends getting snow. I love winter, so it can really suck sometimes living in a place that doesn't have it.

Oh well. On the positive side, this tobacco is delicious, and I'm making pork tenderloin for dinner. So yeah. I'm a lucky guy and I know it.

You can see snow without having to shovel it. Posted a link to a nearby highway camera in the Webcams thread. Sometime over the next month or so those ditches will be full of snow and you won't be able to see the highway at all. Counting the cars that hit the rhubarb instead of rounding that bend on an icy morning is usually amusing entertainment.

Peterson's Connoisseur's Choice in a Peterson 80s. This is more a summertime outdoor tobacco for me. 9C(48F)H66%

We get the best of both worlds here in Knoxville. We have hot summers and fairly cold winters. If we want snow we just take a drive up into the mountains 45-75 minutes away. We can see the snow on Mt. Leconte from our sunroom, and if we want to be in the middle of it we just head up to our Gatlinburg place.

Me? I hate snow. I like the look of it, and I love the cold of winter, but I can't stand being in all that mess. It's wet, sticks to everything, makes a mess in your car and your house and makes driving a PITA. Plus it's a pain when you have to walk the dogs. Add tourists up here in Gatlinburg and it becomes even more challenging.

Connoisseur's Choice just isn't doing it for me at all. Set it aside and enjoying Painter Hills in a medium IMP meerschaum. Ah, yes, that's what I want.

Phinz. If you ever get a chance to go out in kayak the first morning that there's thin ice on a quiet lake, do it. Paddle out there and then just stop and enjoy a pipe. Even just a little breeze will break up the ice in waves and it's music that you'll never forget. God's own wind chimes.

New Lane's Half & Half.... let me join in the chorus of yeasayers and say that this is light years better than the pinkerton version. It was indeed a cargo of contentment in the bowl of my cob this afternoon...
