    Uhle's #44 in a DG-Diplomat.

Pipe bag packed. Have a SeaRock and a Sas, some P&W#10 and some 2001 Christmas Cheer and a whole lot of water and snacks; time for a long hike in the Santa Cruz mountains with my best friend (Coyote the wondermut).

Dropped by a b&m I hadn't been in yet and had one of their own blends called "Bluto's Black Death" 40% latakia 40% White Burley and 20% Perique. It was excellent. I will be buying more. Also, by far the friendliest place in town. Props to Ford & Haig in Scottsdale AZ. They is good people.

JimInks: I have never aged Royal Yacht for more than a year, so I can't say much about that. The year, if it did anything, probably smoothed it out a bit.

Having some SG St. James Flake in the Northern Briars. I think this stuff is harder to get than FVF, and it isn't surprising, because this stuff is just beautiful to smoke. Definitely one of the best VaPers out there.

Now smoking Anniversary Kake in a smooth 1981 Century full bend pipe.

Mount Mandolin: Thanks. I'll let it age and see what happens next year! Or so.
