Something about looking outside at all the frost got me started on the Christmas to do list. Opened up a small jar of Peterson Christmas 2011 and filled the bowl of a small anonymous meerschaum. This tobacco has taken a significant transformation in a year. Very light but notable coniferous note in how it tastes and the room note that's just enough to de-Grinch Scrooge.

Note to self: SB belongs in a cob from here on. Loading up the old estate WF with H&H Obsidian for the after-brunch smoke.

Dorchester in a slight bend 1983 Ascorti New Dear KS. I really like to start off my day with this one. It's easy on the tongue and I seem to taste the various sweet flavors better on my first smoke.

Feeling a bit nostalgic today. Smoking Sail Natural in my 1955 Kaywoodie 45C large Dublin. This combo was the first bowl I ever smoked long, long ago. :old:

Trying this cold brewed coffee deal since it's been brought up here. Very nice.

A repeat of the Peterson Christmas 2011 in a long dormant MM Legend that I used for sweet aromatics. Snow is coming down quite heavily but melting on the driveway so it's all good. 0C(32F)H98%.

My last few orders had been from Smoking Pipes. If they're currently out make sure to get on their notification list. It's currently in stock at SP.

About to smoke some Dark Flake that has been cellared for six months. It sure smells different than the fresh stuff.

Report on findings after smoking has ceased.

It's not just me. Those two lovely ladies that are owned by The Cat just dropped by. They both looked around and said that it smelled like a fresh Christmas tree in here, with good things coming out of the kitchen. If it's thought that counts, the smells weren't good enough to have them stay and get naked, ah yes, the fantasies. The Christmas 2011 is a bit much so last bowl of it for today. Hmmm, Painter Hills, Prairie Wind, Weybridge, decisions, decisions.

Black Mallory in a Savinelli on this ridiculously beautiful day. Actually feels like fall out today, in the mid 60's with sun shining and leaves turning orange more and more. Still not even 50% color saturation yet, but we'll get there eventually. :) I think I'm going to have to take a drive down to the Cahaba River today and drink in this beauty for awhile. That, and watch football, of course.

    Have a good Saturday, folks.
