Where did you send her off to get trained?
She's a keeper
Big question is, have you smoked that morning pipe yet?
SG Navy Flake in a DGE Custom Cob. Morning All.
And here I thought that only happened in the movies!
Are you sure she wasn't going to smoke it herself if you hadn't walked in?
Now that I dealt with the rest of last night's dishes (cook-a-thon) time to light up C&D Odessa in the JM sig, with H&H Obsidian loaded up in the estate WF waiting its turn.
[deffinitely orliks bullseye in a curved falcon with dover bowl, that is right up on my list of favourite tobaccos it was actually second choice to dunhils night cap but my god never has second pick turned out to be such a good choice.
With the weather changing down here I've decided to change my rotation up. Just finished some silver flake in a SJ billiard. Very good and very comparable to DH flake.
Best Brown #2 in my Moretti today on my way into the office. 1/2 a bowl left for lunch break.
The REAL question is: did
she pack it better than you?
If so, hang on to her with
Glad to hear it, Ive got a 2 yr old tin of this that I havent opened yet and have never had this blend. Looking forward to it.
This morning, Balkan Sasieni in a cob
A little earlier, it was Three Friars in a MM Pony Express cob. Now, it's Dorchester in a slight bent late 1970's Caminetto 103 Business KS.
Well-aged C&D Bayou Morning (10 yrs.) in a Savinelli. This is a devine smoke.
Newminster Superior Round Sliced in an old Dr. Grabow.
Had my third pipe of MCB in my cob this morning. Pleasant and satisfying, if unexciting, in the way Raisin Bran is. Very similar taste/note as well, now I think of it. Nutty with a hint of raisin, nothing overtly cherry to be found.
I have a feeling, after SWRA and MCB, that I won't be returning to OTC burley blends too often. I certainly see the appeal of such standbyes, but there's not enough to hold my interest. I do want to give Carter Hall and SWR a fair try each, however, so for the forseeable future I'll have some OTC pouch or another in my glove box for commuting and lunch break. After work and on weekends, though, it's back to the favourites.
Couldn't decide on a flavored aro in the time frame I allot myself (three minutes) so it's PA & Walnut in the beat-up old estate MM cob. That gives me time to play eenie-meenie-miny-moe.
I usually use CH to break in a new
bowl. Or, when I'm feeling rather
cobbish. Not a regular blend for
me either. Just an idea.
Oh, back on topic, Skiff in the usual.
I am so stealing that expression - especially today. I reckon I am feeling cobbish today ... think I'll load some Sugar Barrel into the H&B Cobb next. I am finally caught up on dishes. Debating on making more dirty dishes by baking a pineapple upside-down cake for hubby.
I'd really like to try Dunhill's Nightcap / Early Morning.
My latest blends come from Tobacco Barn. I purchased the 1st Aromatic Sampler pack. One of the english samplers contains 'equivalents' to Nightcap and Early Morning.
Anyone know if they're genuinely equivalent?
Also I have OUTBACK from pipetobacco.com it contains Latakia. Isn't that in the english blends?
