Quite a change of direction for me! - before I head up the stairs to join 'her ladyship' in the four poster ( hope she hasn't got that darn TV on again! ). Through the kindness of Mike in Maine - I'm finishing the day with Prince Albert, and coming to the conclusion that I actually prefer it to CH! ( wonder if anyone else feels the same? ) although to me they are quite similar. Need all my patience, strength and courage tomorrow!, as Englands largest travelling funfair is in town and a rather exhuberant twelve year old grand daughter insists that I accompany her on some horrendous rides!......I can't wait!.

You know, I grew up on Canadian beer - Brador, Blue, Golden, Carlings......that was the crème de la crème of the time. I remember my first go round with what we call "microbrew", it was in Washington, outside Ft. Lewis, in the late 80's while I was playing with some First Group boyos. I remember thinking, "I can spend money on Scotch, tobacco or beer, but not all three. Beer lost, and here I am. Still crazy, as it were, after these few years.

I reckon when you put it like that, I can't fault you. If I had to cheap out on one of the three, it'd definitely be beer.

I think I'd still step up to Yuengling though. Just sayin'. :byg:

One more Old Gowrie at the end of beautiful SoCal day, in the MM Country Gent. This smokes nice in just about any pipe.

Vin and the Dodgers are about to start playing the Cardinals. I'm smoking Mid-1920s Half and Half in a tan etched medium bend 2001 Rinaldo Sahara 2 Acorn round at the shank, pointy at the opposite top.

Well that last pipe I had will be the last for the night I took my evening meds and those sheets are lonely so before I think I found Mrs Calabash I'm going to go get some shut eye, but somebody please light a fire under the night crew, they've been first rate slackers, see you in 2 1/4 pages or so even if I oversleep! :bag:

Just finished a 7 hour shift in the Plantation processing department  Ok I watched the Bear

first off was moving the newer strings in the Barn to get to the Coloured-up ones at the back
    [IMG]
then sorting out a mix of Lizard Tail Orinoco Virginia and Black Sea Basma Turkish to process then putting the front strings back at the back this time so plenty of room for the Greenhouse crop still growing
    [IMG]
then into the front room of Wicker Villas
    [IMG]
    first it was de-stalking
    [IMG]
then cutting into strips with the kitchen herb scissors and 7 hours, 3 or 4 Egg Cobs of it, a bottle of South African Chardonnay, and a bloody sore finger and thumb Later
    [IMG]
it's ready to be Cased and Blocked
    [IMG]
But that's tomorrows todays job when I've the Bear's recovered

Wessex Brigade Campaign in a smooth Castello Dublin this afternoon. Unseasonably warm and pleasant here in San Francisco. Cat took a nap at my side for the duration of the smoke, it was quite relaxing.
