I want to represent to you the destroyer of ancient Sparta, that's why the today's tourist there can see only debris and we the modern Greeks can not found more elements about our ancestors. Please see the video below has english subtitles so anyone can understand what a stupid "Frenchy" faggot sent by the king Louis IE' done to Greece and to the Humanity.

"The Abbe Michel Fourmont notoriously claimed the discovery
of many important historical inscriptions at Sparta.
They were later realised as forgeries at the end of the eighteenth century.

    Fourmont records in 1730:

For a month now, despite illness, I have been engaged with thirty
workmen in the entire destruction of Sparta; not a day passes but I find
something, and on some I have found up to twenty inscriptions. You
understand, Monsieur, with what great joy, and with what fatigue, I
have recovered such a great quantity of marbles. . ..

If by overturning its walls and temples, if by not leaving one stone
on another in the smallest of its sacella, its place will be unknown in
the future, 1 at least have something by which to recognise it, and that
is something. I have only this means to render my voyage in the Morea
illustrious, which otherwise would have been entirely useless, which
would have suited neither France, nor me.

I am becoming a barbarian in the midst of Greece; this place is not
the abode of the Muses, ignorance has driven them out, and it is that
which makes me regret France, whither they have retreated. I should
have liked to have more time to bring them at least more than bare
nourishment, but the orders 1 have just received oblige me to finish.

Edward Dodwell on his later visit to Sparta in 1801 reported that Fourmont
was still remembered as ordering the defacement of inscriptions he had just recorded."

The Kingsbridge has all burned itself up, I can't imagine how.
So I am off to sample the fare of a boat ride on the Constantinople straights with the AIC
and chilled deliberately dirty water with melting geometric shapes joining it in the BGM

FVF in my Sav punto oro with a glass of my Château de bucket de Déckârd. The glass isn't even halfway gone and my cheeks are already warm.

Now onto some OJK in the bent Falcon, using the (as best as I can tell) Hyperbole bowl.

M'lady and I are going to jar a few blends, so I'm listing this a few minutes early: Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 1982 black sandblasted paneled slight bend Savinelli flat bottom sitter. I needed more of it today, especially as I just opened a new tub. Still drinking Mug root beer, ya mugs! Myeah!

The drum beat that comes in behind that chorus really caught me offguard. I thought things were about to get saucy.

Nice! Jetta, I presume? Is that the GLI or the regular 2.0T? I'm a German car nut who temporarily drives a Honda because the Honda requires no maintenance. And I still get to have my manual trans. and surprisingly good cornering (after installing a stiffer sway bar).

Tashkent in a Radice twin-bore. Cloudy and breezy here. Countdown is really on until I leave now. Getting excited!

Well...just got word from the missus that my pipes are stinking up our bedroom/my office (I was hoping she wouldn't notice, but she is right). There's nowhere else to put them on display in their nice rack so it looks like my small collection is going to be relegated to a bag and stuffed into a desk drawer. Ah, so goes life in a small apartment with a toddler. Maybe I'll empty out the fish tank and stick them in there! On top of the fridge, maybe?? Perhaps they'd be a nice decoration for the commode?

Once they go to bed, I'm smoking something extra nice to soften the blow. Maybe I'll try out that Penzance that psquared so gratiously sent me.

The last bowl of McB's Mature Virginia in the MM Diplomat with blue and white Forever Stem, this packet came in the $100 box but I later purchased a limited tin from the debut at the Chicago Pipe Show and so noted on the tin my intent is to open it on the 10th anniversary of its debut.

    Correct. Regular bowls
    fit the international stem.
    Meer bowls being
    extremely difficult to
    find is an understatement.

    So, I didn't finish my
    previous bowl as I
    had an appt. with a
    dealership at 10:30
    and didn't leave there
    until after 2pm. But
    I drove away in a
    2004 Jeep Liberty.
    Then had to run
    errands and pick up
    Miss Snake from work.
    Then hash and tats
    for dinner. Finally
    Getting to that bowl
    just now. (Whew!)
