    Happy Monday to all!
What's so great about Monday? Well I'm glad you asked...as a rule, nothing; but I am off today. I just finished up some Half and Half in a GBD and will be prowling in the pipe and tobacco storage area for the next delight.

    Mr. Berg...HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

Lunchtime smoke will be DGT'ed Lousianna Red left over from my commute smoke this morning. That leaves CH in my office cob for the return trip this afternoon. That ain't bad.

Stokkebye Cube Cut with a little bit of Carter Hall at the bottom, breaking in my new Pascal Piazzolla Lovat. This is a wonderful pipe. It smokes well and makes this tobacco taste superb.

been sitting on the porch playing cribbage and or watching the baseball playoffs with the lady enjoying a pipe together, haven't really been posting smokes because I have a partner in crime in each smoke~
Been smoking Virginia Woods, the lady got me a tin the other day, it's a nice Autumn tin but I'm giving my briers a rest so I picked up a pouch of SWR because my summer burley jar is empty & had some in my MM Washington cob with some pink lemonade as I watched my Red Sox trade an obstruction call for a 9th inning 2-out pick off~ TAKE THAT ST.LOUIS ;) heheheheh~ Happy smokes & GO SOX~!!!

Hi there! The other day, right before I was about to take the train to Hamburg, my broken but glued PSF mug broke again and
all the coffee spilled all over the keyboard of my
netbook, which meant the death of my computer. When I arrived
in Hamburg last night, I had a very enjoyable bowl HU Louisina
Broken bulldog in the Bentley. A few minutes ago I wanted to
take the train to go back again, but Hamburg declared a state
of emergency because of some heavy storm gusts and the entire
train travel is shut down now, so I'm stuck in Hamburg without
a computer - but with 2 new tobaccos, because I just visited
Pfeifen Timm. Black Parrot by Robert McConnell and a tin of DTM
Skipper’s Flake. Going to try this Skipper now, in the Moretti
bulldog. Have a great afternoon all!

Maaann, That Ron Jeramy pic is wrong in sooooo many ways.:haha:I once saw him haulin' arse down the 101 in California in a dirty white Ford Festiva. Guess he was way past his prime even back then.

edit: According to USPS tracking, my Devil Anse pipe from Basil is in town. We'll see how that one goes....

OGS from the upper tin in a bent MM Pride ...

I'm not going to try and guess whether this newer OGS has perique ... but it definitely has that added flowery note you don't get in a straight Virginia. And that note seems to be common to VaPers that use a tiny amount of perique, such as Former Cross Grain Flake and PS Luxury Navy Flake.

I love it when perique is used that way because you can't really detect it outright in terms of the tangy, moldy, or vinegar smell it has on its own. Instead it just transforms the Virginia into something even more delicious and fragrant. I never really thought of the added fragrance as 'flowery'. But I saw a German YT reviewer use that term ('blumig') in reference to Ascanian No. 1, and I'm beginning to think there's something to it.
