Borkum Riff Bourbon in a G Huybrecht - London Castle. Lipton´s Yellow Label. On my girlfriends balcony. She´s off to work so I´ll try to read up and then solve a crossword. We were out yesterday evening and i met a fellow pipe smoker. He had a nice old banded Stanwell straight billiard with a huge bowl and the rim all scorched. He too smoked BRB.

Just lighting up a bowl of 1960s Edward G. Robinson's Pipe Blend in a 2002 IMP smooth full bend egg shaped meer. Many thanks to Furious for the tobacco.

Davidoff Scottish Mixture in my bent MM Pride with new Danish Amber Bit ...

This bit is awesome ... passes a cleaner with no resistance, and guides it right through to the bottom of the bowl. And it's a true fishtail, nice and wide at the button for easy dangling. Brace yourself though: these bits cost a whopping 49 cents a piece.

Kudos to Aristocob for their remarkable service: the order seemed to arrive before I even finished placing it. In addition to two dozen bits I also purchased two Ozarks on the advice of rekamepip. Yet it's hard to imagine anything smoking as well as this Pride: super light weight, super open, and absolutely neutral in flavor.

A few moments away from smoking Country Estate in a medium bend 2013 black Rekamepip Rock Cob poker. And then to sleep. See you folks later this day.

Rattray's Charles' Mixture in a decorated meer. First-ever bowlful of it - it's VA and Black Cavendish, flavoured with almond and vanilla. The flavouring is subtle, but detectable. Overall, mild, smooth and very nice.

In case it's not clear, the health warning now reads "Smoking Kills Care".

Now it's G&H Rum Flake (thanks, WalkinStick!) folded and stuffed into the Lean Squatch Volcano. I think this could be one of the easiest-to-smoke flakes there is. Two quick folds, slide into the bowl, quick and easy light. I'm really glad I got to try this blend. :snork:

    Good Morning,

54F this am, but unlike the dry, mildly breezy mornings previous, there is humidity and gusty wind. I don't know as I'll be having too many more open windows at night. Matter of fact, I'd better tune up the furnace today.

Dark Flake, again in the recently improved Ashton.

Up early on a Saturday just doesn't fit my plans, but here I am. I just catched, cauched, finished reading the posts from the night crew with a cup of coffee and a cob full of Carter Hall. I loaded the Montbatten #33, bent bulldog, with #2015 to let it dry a little before lighting. I am also loading Navy Rolls in a PK Canadian for my smoke after NR. Enjoy your Saturday and your smokes folks.

Working on a bowl of Telegraph Hill courtesy of FlatbushPaul in the blue and white Forever Stemmed MM Diplomat. Getting ready for walkabout and the Farmer's Market as Levi is expecting company, his nearly 13 y/o Weimaraner buddy, Logan, will be our house guest for the morning.

Yawn, up early for a Saturday. Have a 9 AM consulting gig, so not a relaxing morning. Having some of the last of my Irish Flake in the bent Falcon to accompany the black coffee. Have a great day, all.
