Out of curiosity...why replace a blend that is still in production? Especially one as cheap as melange?

Feeling slightly suicidal, I'm planning to start the day with Tambo in a cob with a ten oz. espresso. I'm not tired of living yet, this is just as close as I can get to the 'wild side' at my age.

MB BLB - MM spool - more coffee. This stuff I can smoke at any moisture level, in any pipe, no bite whatsoever. I swear I should just smoke BLB. Now, if only I didn't love the taste of VA's so much (however, dried out quite a bit, they don't bite either). Now the SWR from a little while earlier can get bitey in a hurry. It must be something they put in it. I'm rambling... time for another cup o coffee.

A little bit ago I finished up some PA in a Mastro. Being the fickle bastage that I am, I have moved on an Ehrlich poker of the small variety and am loading it up with some Mc 5125. Not a bad tobacco but "Coyote Classic"...really? Must have been a slow day in R&D. :beyes:

I honestly do not know, and this is more expensive. Although, here in Sweden it seems nigh impossible to get hold of Stanwell Melange, however My Own Blend Melange is widely (well, reasonably at least) available. I've been trying to figure out what the relation is, but it's proving difficult to find much background about My Own Blend. Both Stanwell and My Own Blend is owned by Orlik Tobacco which in turn is owned by Scandinavian Tobacco Group. One thing can be said though, the taste of this particular tobacco is the same as its namesake.

I haven't smoked yet today. I grow tired of snuff on a regular basis after a while, and need to take something of a break. I folded and picked up a tin of Camel snus since I can't get anything Swedish here without resorting to mail order, and I needed both instant gratification and avoidance of s/h fees today. Something I can enjoy while studying, and tomorrow night while taking an exam.

I'm about to have the first smoke of the day...Mac Baren HH Highland Blend. Took a break from studying and cut my hair/beard, showered, now I'm going to have a smoke and watch a little tv, then back to the studies. Oh yeah, in the Ben Wade Canadian to boost the latakia flavor slightly (this pipe is usually used for latakia blends)

Some BBno.2 whilst out and about.
Stopped by the B&M...nothing to report.
Wait, I retract that. They had two BC
gourd calabash pipes that were almost
calling my name. Price tag said otherwise.
    :(
