Thanks to the kindness of MakDragon, my first smoke of C&D Strathspey in the Baki. I set it out to dry for a while...didn't quite get there, but I fired up anyway. A little tough to light, but not biting or steamy. Pretty good flavor - I think it's similar to HH Highland Blend, a favorite of mine, though slightly smokier. That said, Highland Blend is easier to light and keep lit.

Good flavor! Appreciate the sample :puffy:

it's not bad Goat--just a tad sweet for me--somehow i got crossed up with sweet blends; they tend to make me feel queezy--now Kelly's Coin and 5 Brothers will make a feller queezy too, but in an entirely different way:D

Dude, everything you write reads like a poem because of the alignment, and, as a result, seems tremendously profound.

Stonehaven in the Peterson System 303, which has very quickly become one of my very favorite pipes. It always smokes perfectly, and I never end up with any dottle at all, and definitely no wetness in the heel. I think the shape of the 303 is just conducive to good moisture absorption in the heel. Bowls that are too pointy at the bottom tend to be a bit tougher for me to deal with. This Stonehaven sure is good. :bing:

With Sas, you never know what you're gonna get. It's probably baked Play-doh :ohyh:

Espresso on the side, some Ambassador in a cob... it's much mellower than when I smoked the same last night in the Squatch.

I started the night with some vintage MacBaren Symphony in a MM Legend... Good burley & VA flavors with a little added sweetness.
