Good day Gents. I slept for over 9 hours for the first time in.... years.

To quote James Brown: "I feel good."
Unlike JB, I'll be smoking tobacco in my pipe to celebrate.

Odyssey in a Castello SeaRock some eccentric joker gave me.

If it makes you feel better, I'm currently drying a more bourgeois tobacco to smoke later (Dunhill De Luxe Navy Rolls) :laff:

Dwaugh, you know berg doesn't smoke Dunhill. And there's no latakia in Navy Rolls.

Damn straight, although you could twist my arm with some MM10, or similiar vintage 965.

OK, I'm classing it up for you :p: The pipe is not a Dunhill, but was bought by my father in NYC Wilkie shop.

No, but just hearing "Wilke" and "NYC" made me feel better.

Very first smoke in a brand new Peterson System Standard 307. Half and Half.
Wonderful smoke. I love the pipe and the H&H hit the spot. Everything's perfect.

Until I pull the stem off the pipe an hour or two later to clean it, to see that the inside of the mortise has a crack!! :(

Peterson has a 90 day guarantee on their pipe, so this one is off to Ireland. I hope it works out okay.

Got up late. Our normally rainy domain is bright and sunny, unlike where some of you guys are. Starting easy with SG Baltic Flake and a large mug of my favourite coffee NOT done espresso style, in, yes, the Pete. If this Indian summer lasts a couple of more days, I should have some ripe heirloom tomatoes. I love fried green tomatoes but I want some of them to ripen. It's a lazy garden day.
