Captain Black White in the Dr. G. Duke with a big cup of Cafe Bustello on this Sunday morning.
I almost bought a tin yesterday, never had it myself. I however had to opt for the '06 #27 I found, as the Dunhill was only about a year old. Maybe next time.
Smoking Honey & Chocolate. I may never buy any aros again....
I got the bags mixed up! It WAS the R that I smoked. I looked up holly's discovery on TR and knew that couldn't have been what I had last night. This had to have been either a pure VA or VA/OR. Lovely stuff either way.
Ok,...ok. The Mac Baren Honey& Chocolate is surprisingly pretty decent after nearly a year of down time. Chalk me up as a non-aro guy though. Anyone want an old bag of Boswell's PA Dutch Treat ?
Good to hear your were able to block the illness. Also good to hear that Ted is on the mend. I, for my part , woke up totally sick in the morning, the sore throat is the worst - not possible to think of smoking right now, guess I'll have to take a break for a few days.
(wondering what the R flake could be...)
ahhhh lol ok well that's Europes Stonehaven. JF Germains Rich Dark Flake. Same as Stonehaven just different brand name.
University Flake in the Falcon. One more bowl's worth of the stuff left, then I can use the jar for a blend I like better.
I never could get a handle on doing a site from scratch with CSS--I suppose if I applied myself to it full-time it would come together. I can tweak existing CSS OK, but more power to those who can do it for real. Back in the day, I did do my first sites in HTML and Notepad. Now I have occasion to tweak Drupal sites--what speghetti code it produces!
Anyway, I digress. Having a nice bowl of Firedance Flake (thanks again, MikeinMaine) in the Paykoc meer while working on a "white briar" Kaywoodie Bulldog I got off the 'Bay. As I suspected from the photo, it is actually meer, with a yellow logo and four-hole stinger--an OK deal for 12 bucks, I think. The stem and button were chewed up but I think the black superglue is going to work to get it back into smoking shape.
Royal Cajun Ebony in an MM!
Tastes like pancakes!
ah, ok ...! then it's not really surprising WS wants to buy all of it.
What is your impression of old dominion?
Hofnar bakes apple pies!!!, after seeing his mugshot I bet he uses sour apples.
PA Choice in a Grabow Westbrook.
I'm welcoming this fine Sunday with a bowl of PA in my Britannia highlander
Suzy and Molly let me sleep in once again, and when I did wake up, I saw m'lady had already taken care of them. Molly's still snoozing, but Suzy came to greet me. Stormy's moved on and left his sun here. I'm catching up on things and thanks to our Mayor, am smoking 1990s Three Nuns in a 2003 smooth medium bent straight grain Ardor Venere Extra signed by Dorelio Rovera Dublin. Simply Orange is my drink.
I like it. I am not sure if it is the taste or just its unique nature. It is quite unlike anything I have tried. If I had to compare to some thing I have smoked. I would say its closest to McC's royal Cajun ebony. The leaf is a very similar texture. All jack Peterson really says is that it is all va.
Anyway, it is either by stoving or cavendish or a combination, but it is a mild smoke with an interesting aromatic quality that is kind of along the line of molasses sweetness. At just the right tone. I am not usually a fan of molasses, but this is pretty good and it seems to be better the longer it ages. I have been poking at my tub of it for nearly two years.
Sitting and contemplating all the yard work I need to do over a bowl of smokers haven 20th anniversary blend. Go lions.
Flattery will get you everywhere.
I think we should send a little flattery to Ms. Dwaugh.
