Ken, what I want to know is
does that piece of briar in
    the background serve a
    purpose, as it looks like
it'd be a nice single pipe
    stand.

    Firing up my first bowl
    Of HU Director's Cut.
    Thought I misloaded
    my clay with Strang.

W.O. Larsen - Old Fashioned in the Croft's Premium Canadian.

I don't know how "Old Fashioned" it is or isn't, but so long as you keep it slow and low, it tastes pretty nice

In this case it was Greens of Leeds ( aka 'Smokeking' ).....I suppose it is 'local' to you big distance guys - but it's one of several in a forty or fifty mile radius for me.

I spent lots of money at Greens in the 90's, while it was still Kosher. Friendly as all get out, and back then, not terribly exorbitant price wise.

My Brigham Voyageur from jdto arrived today, and while I'm still sick, I was too anxious to not give it a smoke! Thus far, she's smoking like a champ. [IMG][IMG]

Just opened my first tin of Exhausted Rooster????
Is it supposed to look like that?
Giving it a little time to breath. Gonna put it in the Spillproof Special, that pipe will smoke anything.
    Wish me luck.

Well after seeing this I realised what was wrong with the Bears Test Tube Rack
I'd wished the wood to be wider so that I could stagger the holes and found vertical pipes with the stem through a hole awkard :(
Then [IMG] angle the uprights 15* and slot the stem holes :shead:
Good job I didn't let the Bear have the glue the other day and I'm glad Mrs Wicker's still away because I've just been playing in the kitchen and I was smoking

this time it's screwed together though I will get round to gluing and staining it
    [IMG]
    and it works far better
    [IMG]
I might even buy  some wood as my pipe box is still cluttered
    [IMG]
and my Rekamepip works of art deserve better than a cardboard box

    Thanks fishnbanjo :toast:

Baseball games have started and the Braves lead the Phillies 3-0 in the first. While I'm waiting for dinner, I'm smoking the other free sample 4Noggins sent: Nutty Professor in a medium bend raw sienna toned early Radice sandblast egg with bamboo craving on the shank. A can of Mountain Dew is my drink.

Work is done and now I've got Rum Flake (thanks, WalkinStick!) going in the Squatch prince. The top of the bowl reminds me of Peretti #333. Very nice, kind of floral sweetness.

Through an anonymous, random act of kindness somebody here saw fit to send me a beautiful new rock cob. I don't know who was behind it but thank you very much, I love the new pipe, and I've been wanting one for a while, thank you.
This is me smoking Penzance in it. Very cool!! Afternoon coffee in the mug.

    This place seriously amazes me.

    Hey Snake...
The picture was by Brian G. Rowley. I am guessing that it is the trimming from a block that became a pipe. He evidently liked the looks of it and it is in all his pictures. BTW, he is raising money to adopt a Chinese orphan and until the end of the month all of his pipes get $100 off. If you ever thought of one, the next couple of days are a premo time.

My first smoke in my Brigham Voyageur was quite pleasant. It provided a gurgle-free, smooth smoke. Very happy with it. Oh, and my view probably helped.[IMG]
