Here they leave PSF with Doug all by himself at the helm.......
My morning cob and coffee...CH in a Derringer with a pot of Maxwell House. Wednesday already, I like this!
Stopped raining so went for a walk with a MM Legend full of Painter Hills. Guess I should start packing up what little I need to take back west with me. Nah, got time for another walk first, and the Peterson 80s and a jar of Weybridge are beckoning.
Started off the morning with the LVC meer full of Nightcap and a black coffee.
Peterson Sherlock Holmes in a Dr. Plumb standard straight billiard
A little afternoon delight PlumCake in the Diplomat.
Solani Blend 131 (virginia, burley, single malt whisky) in a Gianni.
edit. Almost smoked the whole bowl. No need to relight despite the tobacco feeling quite moist out of the tin. A very pleasant smoke. Mostly it tastes good tobacco. The whiskt note is there but in no way obtrusive. Also it is not too sweet. Me like!
Loading up the Rock Cob with a bit of Dunbar
Wow dude! That thing is gnarly as hell. Awesome looking, how does it draw?
The coffee I get but Nightcap to start the day off? I mean, really...
Thought it was time to teach the staff how to make a proper Virgin Bloody Mary. I'm out of ground horseradish, but it is indispensable. Oddly enough, I have not found, as yet, any type of alcohol that tastes good with tomato juice. While relaying the secret proportions, I will be enjoying Fusilier's Ration, given to me by Russ O. at the Columbus show, in a GBD zulu. Mornin' all.
I think it´s the other way around. Almost anything is enhanced by alcohol.
Man, you guys have access to some really top-shelf stuff. I usually salivate as I catch up on WAYS. I wish I had a good tobacconist within 150 miles, this is driving me nuts. So much to try out there.. I've been really digging the Dorchester since I got back from Chicago, but today I thought I'd give it a rest and fire up some of that KY bright/Mocha cav blend in my little Grabow. I'm sad to say that since I started snorking, I just can't get into the tobaccos that I used to dig. The aromatic stuff with a lot of casing smells great..but tastes waxy in your nose. Back to the Dorc. I guess. 1oz left and then I'm stuck with good old CH or Velvet. Cheers fellas!
that looks like the makings of an EXTREMELY fine afternoon, with a little bit of Gordon's vodka of course, for my taste. Making a proper bloody mary is an art, sir, and you appear to be getting your picasso on here.
Getting ready to go out for my lunch break. Just prepared my Altinok LVC pipe with some Old Shoe from Uhles.
Reading up on the POY2014 thread so had to load up the POY2013 Kaywoodie with some Fusilier's Ration and Maxwell House.
Starting the day with the last of the podge jar in the POY 13, nothing to drink yet.
Good Morning all! Got some Anni Kake going in a falcon this morning. Pg tips tea in my mug this fine morning.
Now, onto some Coniston
Cut Plug in a genoa bowl.
Code Red on the side.
Plan on slicing up more
Have you tried Yesteryear Tobacconist in Carbondale? I was there a couple of years ago and bought a cigar or two. Oddly enough, I don't really smokes cigars often, but only remember their cigar selection, not their pipe tobacco. Give them a call and see what they've got.
