Kendal Dark in the Falcon. This stuff is good, and you know it is because it has so much flavor I can taste it even after dinner...which included a side of three cloves of raw garlic. Garlic is the great benefit of living as a bachelor, but it sometimes prevents me from properly appreciating my tobacco. But not this one!

Had more work to do in the basement, so of course I managed another bowl of Old Dublin. I see aros in my future while watching Notre Dame and Michigan.

I wish I knew which sample that was. It looks really good! Do I see some crysalization on that flake?

Had a cob of Nightcap at lunch time. Might have some pipe of some kind of tobacco later this evening. Stay tuned.

I have only owned one, a Saville I bought back in the 90's. Don't really have an opinion one way or the other. I seldom smoke it as it really does not impress me good or bad. They were popular back in the 70's when there were a lot pipe smokers. Don't see them much anymore.

I have one and I like it. I prefer block meers to pressed, but there's nothing wrong with lined meer briars at all.

Half way through this bowl of Metropolitain in a 1981 smooth full bend Mauro Series Two 315 p-lip that copies the Peterson system. And having a real good day!

Well, for the last month, this tin has been sitting by just waiting to be opened. I was waiting for it to be one year old and also to smoke down some stuff, but I can't wait any longer. So, I just opened the tin and am smoking Louisiana Red in a 1970s smooth straight rough top Charatan's Make (Lane) Perfection Deluxe Extra Large. Delicious stuff, and as you all know, there's nothing like the smell of a freshly opened tin.

    That looks GOOD!

I'm curious about growing Turkish there in Yorkshire. Since you couldn't subject it to harsh sun and poor soil, did the leaf develop that waxy layer? I've heard it's essential for trapping in the essential oils that give Turkish its famous aroma.

Also, is it milder in nic than the Orinoco?

You know what? I think that might be Stonehaven! It's probably the only open tin/jar that I have that has a flake so dense and dark, with crystals. Lucky dog to have a neighbor that would hook you up like that!

If it's not Stonehaven, I have no clue. Only one way to find out. Break open the cellar!! :hbang:

Frog Morton's Cellar in a Comoy's Guildhall Apple. I smoked it on a lovely meandering walk with my wife and our baby. Great day.

Watching the start of the Phillies game before Notre Dame comes on. Game tied at 2. Boswell Raspberry Cream, thanks to Morse, got me through that.
