    Hello All,
Im a new pipe smoker (2 months), and finally stepped up to the plate and ordered 2 new Peterson pipes. I have ordered, and am waiting to receive from Cup O Joes, a Fermoy Smooth Pipe #107, and an Irish Harp #B10. My question is, are these pipes made of briar? and more generally, are all Peterson Pipes made of briar?... counting out the expressly labeled meers...etc.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Scott

Yes. Aside from the mentioned meerschaums the current production is briar.

To my knowledge, all non meerschaum Petersons are made from briar.

Beautiful pipes. Congratulations! I smoke my Pete as often as I can now that I've broken her in a bit.

That B10 Irish Harp looks very nice. Had a chance to smoke it much yet? I have an Irish Harp 80s that was just great out of the box and up to speed after less than 5 bowls. Enjoy!
