I see a lot of blenders gold at the drugstores and the smoke shops. Is this a good buy or just crap?

I think the Blender's Gold Golden Burley tastes good. It took a few bowls to appreciate it as the flavor is mild.

Thankie. I am smoking a bowl of Jive's Sweet and Sour Pork #2 right now. Five parts PA, two parts Rich Vanilla, one part perique. Not bad.

Never heard of the stuff. I just looked it up on tobacco reviews It seems that their blends have only recieved the average of 2 stars.

I think I've written about this one once or twice on here somewhere...I have a good amount of this stuff and smoke it once in a while. I bought this when I was first getting back into pipe smoking and have since found that I enjoy smoking VA and Latakia blends more. I wanted to try some OTC's and so traded for some Carter Hall with our Mington but found that I just didn't care for the taste of CH all that much. I ended up mixing that Carter Hall with the BG Vanilla 50/50; it improved the taste of both blends to me :) I think I'll up the percentage of Carter Hall and give it a go on your recommendation. Hoping the CH burley-ness will man the BG Vanilla up a notch.

You might want to cook off the PG too.

If you do not consider the price, and do not get rid of the PG, two stars is generous.
