I'm constantly hearing the hooplah about Carter Hall at PSF and I've been thinking it must be something that is not local to my area since I tried a bunch of places near me and couldn't find any. Well, I had dinner with a friend at the Spinnerstown Hotel tonight and I saw a "Smoke Shop" sign in a strip mall on my way home from Quakertown, PA, heading south on 309 (can't even find the shop on google maps right now). I stopped in and they had bags of all kinds of tobacco, real generic looking a lot of it. Lo and behold, they have Carter Hall. I bought a box (box?) of it, 1 1/2 ounce to give it a try (Soft Luxury Pouch Inside!) for just over $2. I'm sitting home now smoking it in a cob. Because it has to be in a cob, right? Wow, real smooth and just a real easy smoke! It is my first bowl of CH so I'll see if it grows on me more, but so far, so good. The clincher is that I searched the John Middleton Co, listed on the box (box??), and according to Wikipedia, they are in King of Prussia, PA; "In 1960, John Middleton Co. moved to King of Prussia, Pennsylvania". What?????? That's where I live! OK, I have a Wayne, PA mailing address, but I'm much closer to King of Prussia. So we are neighbors? CH is my homey? My hood? Google maps shows a location in Limerick, PA which is pretty close too, but I haven't found an address in King of Prussia. Oh well, small world anyway. I'll have to make a field trip to their processing plant just to make you CH worshipers jealous. Don't worry, I'll take pics so you can enjoy.
