So I know we all smoke our pipes in rotation here and have certain ones we go to regularly with our tobaccos we like. But does anyone here plan to pull out a special pipe or tobacco on Christmas morning to celebrate? For me I will be smoking my L'Anatra bent Apple, but dont know about which baccy to fire in it. Maybe some MacB or Frog Morton's

Not sure when during the day, but a good friend on another forum gifted me a lovely meerschaum freehand/egg that I have smoked every Christmas since, as well as other times of course.

I have not done so before but I guess this year I should start a new tradition. Got a week to figure it out. :)

I've got a new Stanwell Dublin and some 2005 London Mix set aside for the day. Ought to be a great day of family & friends. My little one is four this year, so Christmas is starting have quite a bit more meaning for him that it has in the past. He's been cutting out decorations for the house all month and yesterday put his name & stickers for all of his buddy's at daycare. :bing:

Didn't, until I read this thread. I think it would be a fine time to smoke that new Ben Wade I bought a month or so ago. And fill it with the G.L. Pease Quiet Nights I ordered from Smokingpipes. If it makes it to me in time.

I will probably light up a good aromatic that the kids and wife will like. Probably Holiday Spirit, Reiner's Professional, DaVinci, or Bob's Chocolate Flake.

I'll smoke my new Sas made prince for the first time. I might even crack open a fresh tin of Squadron Leader. That will be something special to anticipate.
