After talking to Falconeer I picked up a Falcon on Ebay for around $10 with shipping. It is in great condition. It hasn't been smoked enough to get a cake or even have teeth marks on the stem.

My few words...enjoy it!!! One of the rather small collection of
pipes that can be abused, then reused, repeatedly.

Good for you - I was watching that one but got busy and missed out on bidding! I have two - one I like a lot (made in England) and a black Hunter from the US that I do not like as well due to the smaller diameter shaft diameter. Happy Falcon Smoking!

    Hi All,

It's a straight Falcon with an Apple bowl - my all time favourite shape with a Falcon! Now tell me they're ugly!

Really nice "Special Edition" bowl there too - these special bowls come up from time to time on ebay, sometimes new and are worth watching out for - even though they're rusticated the briar is excellent, ditto the leather covered ones,

Well done and I hope you get your 30 years out of her!

    Best to all

    Gerry

Ok, now that I gotta have one, any advice on what to look for and what to maybe avoid? Made in USA vs UK? Meer-lined? Bowls/stems compatibility? is a Viking the same thing?

    Hi All,

Invented in the USA pre WW2, made in UK. Meer lined bowls can have an off taste (adhesive?) See "Some Notes on the Falcon Pipe" on this forum. The other type you mentioned is a different system pipe.

    Best to all

Great looking bargain, love the bowl shape.

And what a bargain on ebay too.
