I am not sure when it began, but I find myself craving a nice Lat blend every now and then....oh yeah, it was a tin of Squadron Leader that did me in.

I also like flake tobacco...almost to the exclusion of non flake tobaccos. I try ribbon and shag cuts, but really like the way a flake burns.

So, are there any flakes available in bulk that are lat/oriental/va blends?

I have a local shop that sells a ready rubbed lat/va flake blend type thing that I have been smoking and I like it but want to spread out, narrow down my list and stock up like a champ on my favorite!!! WOOOOO TAD!

I also like the Captain Earle's blends flavor wise (crumble cake is weird to me still, but it rubs out easily and burns well) but they are not available in bulk.

If you only smoke Lats occasionally, why bulk?

I know C&D Star of the East is a flake in the tin, but I'm not sure if it is when it is in bulk. I love the stuff!

I know that 4noggins (and I'm sure others) sell Charles Fairmorn Lancer's Slices, plus if you can get hold of some G&H Balkan Flake you'll be happier than a pig in muck.

4noggins has several Gawith Hoggarth flakes in bulk, likewise Samual Gawith flakes in bulk

Captn Earle's Private Stock and Ten Russian are high on my personal "ecstatic tobaccos" list. I like playing with the stuff, so crumble kakes and plugs are fun.

I like bulk because of less packaging and ease of stocking up. I can grab a lb or two, jar them up and be set for a good long while. I tend to find a blend I like and go with it after much sampling. Always been that way first with snus, and snuff....now with pipe tobacco.

Update...Lancer's Slices is awesome. Cheap(er than the local bought stuff) and good.

I still need to get Star of the East in bulk as well as the McClelland broken flakes.

By the way...Penzance ain't too shabby...

Also, consider C&D Pirate Kake. 50% Latakia. Yum.
