Went to an estate sale this past weekend. Found (what I think) is a decent score. got the lot of pipes for 20 bucks. Most of the pipes appear to be basket grade. Just marked made in Italy, Made in France, etc.

the one on the top left is the only one that has a brand. "Royal British"

also picked up these 2 pipe stands. Single pipe stand for 10 and the two pipe stand for 12.

Most of the pipes look in Decent shape. I'll try to clean em up even more and hopefully they are all decent smokers. Some may find their way to ebay or gifts to friends. But I think i'll keep most of them.

If one of these turns out to be a decent smoker you've got a "decent score", looks like you racked up to me!

I picked up one exactly the same as that one at the bottom with a crown on the stem. Nice score mate :)

Awesome! They all look nice. Let us know how they clean up and smoke. I think I saw a Stanwell in there. (2nd photo, bottom pipe on pipe rack)
I like the black one, I mean ebony one best. :th1:

You are correct. It's a stanwell royal Danish. That was actually an estate find from a couple weeks ago. It wasn't in this last weekends batch. But it has been a great smoker.

And I should mention the typo I made. The only pipe that has a brand on it, is the one on the top Right. Not the top left. Anyone ever heard of that brand before??

Nice find. Even if you only enjoy one or two of the pipes you did quite well.

The second one down on the left looks an awful lot like a Comoy I have-- there isn't a small "C" on the left side of the stem, is there? Even the shape of the stem, with that odd waist, is the same.

I wonder if it might not be a Comoy second or something. Mine's English, but they can be from either country depending on when the pipe was made. It's the unusual shape of the stem that makes me think it might be Comoy. Here's the one I'm talking about:

    Kinda similar, ain't it?

Nice catch, Andy. They do look quite similar, and Comoy only made about a bazillion branded and unbranded seconds. I think you've got a pretty fair guess there. If it smokes well too that would support the theory.
